An ocumo's cream for a good digestion

Today I want to share with you a recipe just the way I like it: quick and easy to prepare and with few ingredients.

It's a nutritious ocumo cream that I prepared for dinner.

The ocumo is a tuber that is widely consumed in Venezuela and has many favorable properties for the body, among them that it is excellent for improving digestive and intestinal processes. It is also rich in iron and phosphorus.

There are two varieties: the white ocumo from America and the Chinese ocumo from Asia.

For this cream we will use:

• 1/2 kg of white ocumo.
• Green seasonings such as onion, sweet chili and cilantro.
• A spoonful of margarine
• Two cloves of garlic
• Salt to taste

Preparation

Wash the ocumo well and remove the peel.
Chop it into small-squares and cook it with salt and water for 20 minutes or- until it is soft.

Add the green seasoning and garlic to the cooking. Let it cook for 10 more minutes.
Remove from the heat and proceed to blend with the cooking water, adding the margarine and adjusting the salt.

Optionally, beef bouillon can be used to enhance the flavor instead of water.
The resulting consistency should be a smooth cream.

Serve hot and enjoy an excellent dish that helps you especially when your stomach is not good.

Una crema de ocumo para una buena digestión

Saludos estimados amigos de la comunidad vegana @plantpowervegan, espero que hayan disfrutado de un excelente y bendecido día.

Hoy por acá quiero compartirles una receta tal como a mi me gustan: rápidas y sencillas de preparar y con pocos ingredientes.

Se trata de una nutritiva crema de ocumo que preparé para cenar.

El ocumo es un tubérculo que se consume mucho en Venezuela y posee muchas propiedades favorables para el organismo, destacando entre ellas que es excelente para mejorar los procesos digestivos e intestinales. Además es rico en hierro y fósforo.

Existen soa variedades: el ocumo blanco originario de América y el ocumo chino proveniente de Asia.

Para esta crema vamos a utilizar:

• 1/2 kg de ocumo blanco.
• Aliños verdes como cebollin, ají dulce y cilantro.
• Una cucharada de margarina
• Dos dientes de ajo
• Sal al gusto

Preparacion

Se lava bien el ocumo y se le quita la cáscara.
Se pica en cuadros pequeños y se cocina con sal y agua por 20 minutos o hasta que ablande.
Añadir a la cocción los aliños verdes y ajo. Dejar cocinar por 10 minutos más.
Bajar del fuego y procederba licuar con el agua de la cocción y añadiendo la margarina y ajustando la sal.
De manera opcional se puede emplear consomé de carne para realzar el sabor en vez de agua.
La consistencia resultante deba ser de una crema suave.
Servir caliente y a disfrutar de un excelente plato que te ayuda sobtetodo cuando no andamos bien del estómago.
