It seems that I have made a recipe about rice several times, which I make as an afternoon snack here. It's not without reason that I make rice as a snack because sometimes even though I've measured the cooking rice according to my daily needs, there's still rice left over for some reason. for example, because I consumed too many fruits and vegetables so that the rice I cooked was left. And this leftover rice is what I usually process for my next snack, the leftover rice I mean here is not stale rice or leftover rice that is already on my plate, friends, but leftover rice that is in my rice cooker. It feels like a thing that I really regret if I wasting food while there are many people out there who lack food, so I really have to be wise to process this rice into preparations that have even more value.
Because I'm bored with Bakwan Nasi which is just like that, today I tried a new recipe that I've never tried before. Maybe this can be an inspiration for all of you, especially those who live in Indonesia, because surely you will often find excess rice in your house. My recipe tonight is leftover rice which I mix with flour, vegetables and seasonings and coconut. I am very enthusiastic about this and I will share it with all of you who are here. Don't cut it and follow it until this post is finished, friends and this recipe is fail-safe. I guarantee it.
Materials that must be prepared:
1. 2 scoops of rice (or according to the remaining rice stock)
2. ½ grated coconut.
The measure of coconut actually only depends on our tastes, the use of coconut in the dough for the bakwan nasi so that the resulting bakwan rice tastes more savory, if there is not even a little coconut, it's okay why there isn't a specific measure here, and actually if we There's nothing wrong with not using coconut, but because I'm currently trying this new recipe and it turns out that when I use grated coconut, the resulting taste is much tastier, and when it's fried the result is drier on the outside and soft on the inside
3. Salt to taste (you can combine this salt little by little according to your taste and in this dough I use 1 teaspoon of salt
4. 2 small vegetable spoons of wheat flour
5. 1 small vegetable spoon of tapioca flour
The ratio of flour here to the availability of rice is 3: 1, meaning that there is more wheat flour compared to tapioca flour, the flour is here to bind the rice so that when it is fried it can blend with the other ingredients.
6. 2 candlenuts
7. 3 cloves of garlic
8. 2 shallots
9. Pepper powder to taste
10. Celery leaves to taste
11. 25 grams of bean sprouts (according to taste)
12. 25 grams of carrots (according to taste)
13. 25 grams of cabbage (according to taste)
For the various vegetables that I make, it depends on your tastes, and the vegetables that I put here happen to be in my refrigerator, but the vegetables that I chose above are the vegetables that are common for use in vegetable bakwan dough.
How to make :
1. Grind the shallots, garlic and hazelnuts and salt using a blender and add a little water during the blending process.
2. Prepare the rice in a container then mix the grated coconut into it.
3. After that, mix the washed bean sprouts into a container.
4. Then mix in the cabbage that I have thinly sliced and washed
5. Then mix in the carrot pieces that I have cut into small pieces.
6. The next step is to add sliced celery leaves to it.
7. After all the ingredients enter the container, then mix the spices that have been mashed into the mixture and don't forget the ground pepper, stir until all the mixture is evenly mixed
8. Then fry using vegetable oil, fry the dough over medium heat.
9. Print the dough using a spoon when frying, then remove the dough when it is browned.
10. Fry until all the dough is used up.
And from the recipe that I just made, it really works and I will make it again, because it really tastes delicious, especially when there's coconut in this recipe, you have to try it and greetings from us Tomi and Maya from Binjai City, Indonesia . keep following our posts, friends.
