Tempe always gives a warm surprise for every dish, which is prepared in the daily menu at my house. For some reason, every time I buy tempeh, the idea always comes up to prepare a variety of delicious menu preparations during the day. This time, inspired by satay made from meat, it made me think of a vegan menu that can give a warm and loving surprise to my family at home. And also created a special dish of satay from vegan ingredients, so that vegan lovers around the world can enjoy it, without experiencing problems to enjoy the satay properly.
Sate is one of the most popular menus in my area, the meat satay menu which is usually sought after by various groups and has become a culinary pride to this day. So, get rid of the meat and look for a vegan menu for my mother's special dish, this time I chose tempeh which is rich in vitamins to process it into satay. In my area, it is very difficult to find satay-based snacks that have been seasoned, so I want to cook satay that is rich in spices with a taste and aroma that is definitely 100% vegan so that it can be accepted by my tongue.
Materials used
1 tempeh board
4 cloves garlic
6 cloves of red onion
3 hazelnuts
1 teaspoon coriander
5 cm turmeric
2 curly chilies
2 sunti acid
3 lime leaves
2 bay leaves
1 lemongrass stalk
Cooking Steps
Steps 1
First prepare the tempe first, cut into cubes, then set aside first.

Then blender the chili, turmeric, sunti acid, coriander, candlenut, onion and garlic, puree the spices until completely smooth.

After all the spices are mashed, heat the cooking oil in a frying pan, then stir-fry the mashed spices, then add the lemongrass stalks, and bay leaves cook until they emit a fragrant aroma.

Now, enter the lime leaves that have been cut into small pieces first, then stir and cook the seasoning again.

After the spices are half cooked, add the tempeh pieces, then season with a little salt and then add a little palm sugar, this is optional.Next to cook until cooked and the spices seep into the tempe.

Now, after the spices are absorbed, remove and set aside, then prepare the grill, coat it with banana leaves, then spread a little with oil.

Then after cooking, skewer the tempeh that has been cooked with spices on a skewer. So for 1 tempe, I get 5 skewers.

Then roast the tempeh satay on the grill, then after it's half cooked, turn the satay back and forth and don't forget to re-baste with the rest of the seasoning in the pan.

Then the cooked tempeh satay I prepared soy sauce, after the red onion, cayenne pepper and red chili. Then add kecep manis and stir, then add a little lime juice, then serve it at your dinner table.
Results
Made from tempeh as a substitute for meat, it will make you feel the spectacular delicacy of this satay. This is my first time cooking tempeh satay, but I can't beat the taste and texture. They really have a distinctive aroma and taste that can make you forget about other types of satay. At first my mother was hesitant to say it was delicious, but after she tasted this satay with the addition of warm white rice, she really liked it. And asked me to process this satay again because it really creates a mouth-watering taste on his tongue.
