Crispy Fried Dry Banana
My mother is a seller of banana chips, so I have done bananas in this way very often at home. This is because my mother often stocked up so many young bananas which were used as the main ingredients for selling them. Now when the bananas are too old to harvest, they will ripen very easily, so if the bananas are ripe, my mother will store them and process them as dried bananas. Usually after drying these bananas can be enjoyed immediately, or processed for various delicious foods, such as compote or other types.
Drying bananas is one way to preserve ripe bananas so they can be stored longer. Bananas that are processed by drying in this way will last for months or even a year, if stored in good and airtight conditions in the refrigerator or room temperature. Drying by drying is carried out like drying in general, naturally without chemicals, in any form so as not to reduce the taste quality of bananas.
Banana Drying Process
First I prepare ripe bananas, now this stage is the determinant of the quality of the taste at the end. Because if the banana is not ripe, it will be processed like this, it will affect the taste of the dried banana or in other words, the natural sweetness of the banana is not yet perfect.
Second, after I prepare the ripe bananas, I continue to peel the banana skins, then wash the bananas with running water, so if you don't do this, it's okay because later you can also wash them when processing the after dried bananas.
Third, split the banana into two parts, then dry in the sun. The length of the drying process is around 3 days if the sun is hot, so don't forget to go back and forth so that the bananas dry evenly.
After drying, I will now start processing the bananas into something delicious for my afternoon snack, while enjoying a cup of hot tea. Here I will show you how to process delicious and aesthetic dried bananas as one of the typical traditional snacks in my area.
