Hello culinary friends around the world, today I'm going to invite you to make a spicy, savory dish using very simple ingredients, ingredients that are very affordable and abundant everywhere. Especially if it's not cucumbers, which are in season in my area. There are many things we can make from cucumbers, both food and refreshing drinks.
But today I won't be making a drink from cucumbers, but rather, I'm going to make a spicy and simple dish. Want to know what else to make if not yellow pickled cucumbers? Why are they called yellow pickled cucumbers? Maybe because of their yellow color?
I also don't know for sure why it's called yellow pickles, but these yellow pickled cucumbers are usually served at celebrations, but we don't need to wait for the celebration to eat these yellow pickled cucumbers, because I will make them myself at home with ingredients that are available at home.

Materials used
3 red chilies
3 shallots
1 garlic clove
3 candlenut cloves
1 thumb of turmeric
2 bay leaves
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp mushroom stock
Manufacturing procedure
First of all, I took the cucumber, then I cut it into small, long pieces like matchsticks, then I set it aside. I started to grind the spices using a blender until smooth.

Next, I heat the cooking oil, then I add the bay leaves until they wilt, then I add the ground spices, I cook them for a while, then I also add the whole green chilies.

Once the spices are cooked, add the cucumber, add a little water, mushroom stock and salt, then cook until the cucumber is cooked and the spices are completely absorbed.

RESULTS
This is the result of yellow pickled cucumbers ready to be enjoyed with the family at home, it tastes really spicy especially if you bite the green chili, you can imagine how spicy it is hehe, but unfortunately I don't eat chili because I'm afraid it's too spicy, my husband likes the chili so let him finish it haha
because my husband really likes eating whole chilies, both in vegetables and in fried foods

We enjoyed it with a plate of warm rice, and our favorite fried fish, the taste of the pickled cucumber was fresh, savory, sweet, sour, salty, spicy, all mixed together, who doesn't like this yellow pickled cucumber? I think almost everyone in my area likes this yellow pickled cucumber, I've also seen my neighbor cook this yellow pickled cucumber with carrots, but since I don't have any carrots at home, I only use the cucumber.
