Rice is a very versatile cereal in the kitchen, it is a good source of carbohydrates and a good ally of diets, it has few calories and best of all is that the family enjoys it, I particularly love it and that is why I recommend it. Hoy con una receta muy rica y fácil de preparar, se trata de un arroz con lentejas y zanahorias, un plato muy completo y nutritivo, además me gusta esta combinación de sabores. El arroz es un cereal muy versátil en la cocina, es una buena fuente de hidratos de carbono y un buen aliado de las dietas, tiene pocas calorías y lo mejor de todo es que la familia lo disfruta, a mi particularmente me encanta y por eso lo recomiendo. Así que espero que lo preparén en casa.
01 cup of rice, 1/2 cup of cooked lentils, 1/2 carrot, 02 sprigs of chives, 02 cloves of garlic, 01 teaspoon of paprika, 02 cups of water, salt and pepper to taste.

The first thing we will do is to cook the lentils, wash them very well and cook them with a cup of water until they are al dente, this can take ten minutes. Then we wash, cut and peel in small dices, the scallion, the carrot and the garlic.
Lo primero que haremos es poner a cocer las lentejas, las lavamos muy bien y llevamos a cocinar con una taza de agua hasta que estén al dente, eso puede durar diez minutos. Luego lavamos, cortamos y pelamos en dados pequeños, el cebollín, la zanahoria y el ajo.

Put a frying pan on the heat and, when it is hot, add the oil, the chives and the garlic, sauté for a few seconds, then add the carrots and the rice, mix and cook for a few seconds more.

When it starts to boil, lower the heat, cover and cook until the water has evaporated a little and add the cooked lentils, mix well to incorporate all the flavors, stir and cover until completely evaporated.
Cuando empiece a hervir, bajar el fuego, tapar y cocinar hasta que el agua se haya evaporado un poco y añadir las lentejas cocidas, mezclar bien para incorporar todos los sabores, remover y tapar hasta que se evapore por completo.
