Vegetable Bakwan is a type of fried food that I often eat, at least I eat it once a week, but I also don't want to eat fried foods often even though my wife makes it herself and eats premium ingredients, because I know that at my age I eat too much Fried foods make me invest in cholesterol in the future. So occasionally eating fried food is not a problem for me and this food is not only my favorite but the favorite of all Indonesian people.
Usually making bakwan is my wife's job, I just enjoy it, but now I will prepare it myself and it turns out it's really fun, I think cooking this is like we're riding a roller coaster just a little bit, I put too much salt on it so the food we make will be a little bitter, it will but if we add too little salt the food will become bland, then if we forget to add just the basic ingredients then the taste will be different and not very tasty, although again the spices used will definitely be different for each person depending on their individual tastes.
And today I will make vegetable bakwan according to my taste with the ingredients I have, these ingredients are:
- 1 Carrot
- 100 grams of bean sprouts
- 150 grams of cabbage
- 2 cloves of red onion
- 3 cloves of garlic
- 2 candlenuts
- 2 chilies
- Salt to taste
- Celery leaves to taste
- 6 spoons of flour
- 2 spoons of rice flour
How to make :
1.Wash the carrots and thinly slice the carrots
2.Wash the bean sprouts
3.Cut the cabbage and slice it thinly, then put all the sliced vegetables into a fairly large container.
4.Then add flour and rice flour
5.After that, mix the shallots, garlic and salt with a blender and add a little water
6.After it's smooth, put the ground spices into a container that already contains all the ingredients that I prepared earlier and add the ground spices.
7.Stir well and then taste whether the taste is right or not and don't forget to add the chopped celery leaves so that they smell good.
8.After everything is mixed well then heat the cooking oil.
9.And print the dough using a spoon, immediately fry over medium heat, remove the dough when the dough has started to brown.
10.And you can enjoy the vegetable bakwan.
