I came across this post on a friend's blog and decided to try it out by answering the questions needed.

Do you like animals? Why or why not?
I have never been one who likes or loves animals, my fear for animals regardless of our small it is, is one thing I never joke with. I only love them when they are cooked and ready to be devoured but never get close to them alive because of how I have heard and seen many of these animals turn out violent in a twinkle of an eye. I remember only getting close and falling in love with a dog just once and that was when a friend of mine decided to get a dog as a pet for herself. I had no option but to accommodate the pet because I was always with her and most times, the dog will come closer to me and want me to touch her. We began close friends, whenever she sees me, she would run to me and we will begin to play, most days, we would walk down to buy something together, she won't want to leave my side making her owner pursue her inside and that was the first and last time, I got closer to an animal, especially dog.
Do you have or have you ever had a pet?
I do not have a pet and never had a pet and don't think I would need a pet, around me in the future. If my spouse would need one, that pet would have to be caged so it doesn't come any closer to me because I don't like animals as a whole.
- Are animals respected or looked down upon in your culture?
Back in the days in my culture, most animals were looked down upon with contempt because of the superstitious belief they had around most of these animals but now, nobody talks about those superstitious beliefs, or perhaps nobody gives a care about those superstitious beliefs and takes care of any animals they have with so much care like they are human. Although we still have some people look down on some animals, especially the ones that are consumed.
- What wild animals can be found where you live (or in your hometown)?
I have only seen snakes around but do not know again because I have not been privileged to go to our zoo not like I have an interest in visiting one anyway.,
Are any animals considered good luck or bad luck in your culture?

The bats and the cats are considered evil, it is considered that most witches turn in form of cats whenever they want to harm someone or go to their night meeting to avoid unnecessary accidents and for the bats, I never knew it was hated that much over here in my state until I visited my uncle with my mom and aunt, they made that night a living hell for me, they won't stop shouting the blood of Jesus whenever they hear the bat hoot like it was calling their names, making me regret coming along with them because I love my sleep and hate noise whenever I am sleeping.
I remember attending a burial and while at the burial, some group of people made mention not seeing a vulture at the burial and that is a bad omen. It is considered that when a vulture does not visit a place where burial is going on, then there is a problem but when it is hovering around the place of the ceremony or where the cooking is going on then it is considered a good one.
Do any animals have a specific meaning in your culture?

The Monkeys
In my local government area, although I do not know the full story but it is believed that our olden fathers worshipped monkeys, and as such, monkeys play a significant role in my culture. It's rare to see them around my side and if they are around they are given that much respect than any other animal.
What animal do you feel most attracted to or connected to?
Well, I would say dogs even though I don't like them, there are some breeds I love when I see people carrying them, especially the white puppy with hair on their body.
What’s the most beautiful relationship you’ve seen between a human and an animal?
The most beautiful relationship I have seen between a human and a man is the relationship between a dog and a human and between a parrot and a human.
What was your best experience with an animal?
My best experience was with my friend's dog, remembering the experience got me smiling while writing this. Whenever I go visit, she runs out once she sees me and begins to play with me. Most times felt like I was talking to a human because whenever she wants to do something, and I warn her, she refrains from doing it and she was never stubborn with me like she was with the owner. Although she became terrible when she gave birth and started barking and pursuing everyone when comes across.
This is my entry to @selfhelp4trolls questions that says What is your relationship with animals? - Cross Culture Question #3.
