Hello everyone and welcome to my blog at this hour. Have you took some time to think about the reason why dogs understand when humans give the signs or the reason birds can communicate with human beings and lots more. The answer is simple and it is one of the major points that I still remember till date from my Integrated Science classes in the Primary school. This is the fact that humans are higher animals and other animals are lower animals. In other words, we are all animals. Well, sit back, relax and enjoy all that I have packaged for your reading pleasure.
Well, this is not the topic for today. Today, I will be sharing with you my relationship with lower animals most especially dogs. Dogs have been a part of our family right from the time I was born. We have breeded so many dogs from time to time and it become a part of us.
Every member of my family loves dog so much that we do not take their well-being for granted. We grew help rearing local dogs because as at then it was affordable to rear unlike the foreign breeds that were quite expensive to purchase and their feeding is also on the high side as well. We have very funny names for these dogs such as Bingo, Whiskey, Tracy, Shine-shine-bobo, among others.
One major reason we rear dogs is for hunting and security purposes. Most of these local dogs are trained to hunt Bush Meats. They can sneeve out the location of bush meats in the bush thereby making it easy for us to hunt them down. Apart from that no one dares trespass into our compound because of our dogs. If you want to see us you must call us on the phone or knock on the gate while shouting someone's name in the house else you may not gain access to the compound. Dogs are very sweet pets to have around. They so much understand human feelings. They can tell when you are happy, sad, etc. They also know how to express their feelings to humans as well. There's a way they shake their tails when they are happy and when they are sad they would not shake it but only hang it in between their back side.
There is an experience I had with a dog I'd not forget in a long time. I visited my brother in his house during my holidays and during the holidays he traveled for some months on business trip. I was home alone with his dog - Rooney. I observed that Rooney was dirty and needs to bath. She has ticks in her back, ear, fingers etc and it was quite much. So I decided to bath her with one chemical that is used for fumigation that I saw in the house.
After bathing her I went inside the house to prepare her food which I intend to serve her when her body is dry. After some time I didn't hear her make any sound, so I decided to go out to check her but I met her lifeless body. I felt very sad that I wept bitterly. I knew the chemical was toxic but I thought once I mix little in plenty water it'd be less harmful. But, I was wrong.
