The WEF’s Vision for 2030: A Dystopian Utopia?
In 2016, the WEF published an article titled “Welcome to 2030: I Own Nothing, Have No Privacy, and Life Has Never Been Better.” Written by Danish politician Ida Auken, the piece described a future where:
✅ You Own Nothing:
Goods and services are provided “as a service.” No need for cars, houses, or appliances — just rent or subscribe to whatever you need.
✅ No Privacy:
Personal data is fully transparent and integrated into systems for convenience and efficiency. Even private thoughts and behaviors could be monitored for “the greater good.”
✅ AI, Automation, and Sustainability:
Advanced AI handles most labor, people focus on “meaningful” activities, and environmental sustainability is prioritized.
