Miss 16 is wiser than her years. And has witnessed electrical explosions, melted powerboards, sparks flying, radios sponteously turning on, shorted circuits, broken gadgets and changes approximately 6 lightglobes every week.
You see, I am a Slider. Offcially.
What's a Slider? It was actually the scientific term initially given in the 1960s to Street Light Indicators - people who measurably effect the way street lights function, simply by walking by. It has come to mean someone who emits a positive electrical current to such a degree that it interferes with normal elecrical circuits. It's especially severe when I am very upset, as I was today.
I was officially diagnosed by an electrician in Australia 21 years ago - a patient man who came endlessly to repair the "faulty" sensor lights at the home I had recently bought in Mount Eliza on Melbourne's Mornington Peninsula. After about 5 visits where, each time declared it all fixed only for me to report it "broken" a day or two later, he arrived with a gadget which measures personal electrical currents.
"Geez, I was right!! I read about people like you!!"

His diagnosis was laughingly confirmed by our dear friend the acupuncturist here in Chiang Mai, Dr Wang: "You can save me big money - no need electric - just connect all the others patients to you!! Hahaha...". My natural therapist in Australia, Diane Connell, always politely asked me to wait in the garden so I wouldn't disrupt the office computers.
Depending on who you read, a tiny fraction of the population emits electrical current to such a degree that it can damage street lights, stop watches, cause all sorts of circuits to overheat and blow light globes. The theories range from hereditary, to near death experiences, to some people who believe we originate from another planet with an alterate elctrical frequency. While I'm not fond of the last theory, it does tend to explain that never belongng anywhere feeling rather well!. 🤣
I tend to attribute it rather pragmatically (hey, I'm Dutch - it's allowed!) to the metallic hardware I have in my feet after bone reconstruction work: it disrupts the normal electical grounding process and also neatly ticks the near death experience box. Other people claim that we are the pioneers of a new paradigm of healers - the beginning of the next wave of humans with powers over the physical realm - powers we clearly have NO IDEA how to harness or use well. Yet. 😆
I DO know I also often have that magnetic repelling effect on certain people - people who are also ungrounded and personally deficient in Qi and can't handle or channel the full dose I can sometimes emit. It is what it is.
I started most of my healing practice study in an attempt to harness this energy, on the advice of a therapist. "Harness it or you will go insane", was her blunt advice. So yes, I am beyond adept level in most practices like meditation, reiki, energy healing, massage and the psychic arts. I have to say most of them bore me silly and feel like child's play. Sometimes, things like grounding exercizes and meditation work.
Sometimes, like today, not.
After a profoundly frustrating 5 months of lockdown and no income as a solo mom, sinking deeper and deeper into debt, my website (my only source of income right now) was temporarily pulled down today due to lack of its monthly payment being availabe at the same precise random moment the auto-debit kicked in. And a person we know here - a young expat at the end of his tether, out of money and out of options was found, literaly hanging at the end of his own rope. A young man suicided. It has been an eventful few days.
And so I drove through heavy traffic in the older borrowed car I am STILL driving post-arm-accident till we have enough reliable income again, pulled up in the driveway, turned everything off, pulled out the key and all the lights in the car came on. Unable to be switched off. At all. Blazing like a darn christmas tree on a late Wednesday evening. Urgh.
My daughter and I fiddled for 30 mins before conceding defeat: we could either leave the car idling all night with the lights off, or switch the engine off and all lights blazing and be sure of a dead battery in the morning. But not both. And so we called the mechanic.
He gave me a withering look on arrival, clearly not happy about beer oclock being interupted and clearly NOT believing my explanation. Half an hour later, after much fiddling, testing and two excited calls to his electrican friend, he admitted I was right. I gently volunteered what I already KNOW is the problem.
"Maybe somehow a lot of heat suddenly make some wiring in the ignition switch melt and cause the current to jump?"
He pondered, tested and called his friend again. And then nodded.
"Switch must be faulty. Very hot day."
And so here we are. Another day as a Slider. 4 dead light globes in the salt lamps already this week (I have 3 in the house to osensibly help moderate the electrical energy! ), and now this. I disconnected the car battery for overnight, and have promised to disconnect it between all my 3 meetings tomorrow. And will bring it to his electrician buddy at 3pm.
I'm soaking my feet in magnesium, had a LOOONG grounding shower (water helps a lot) and will spend some time with the Solfeggio Frequencies before sleep. Post about Solfeggio imminient!
My website will be paid and back up by morning, but our friend is long gone. Checked out of this level of the Earth School, and moved on. Feeling very sad.
Pondering all that it means to have these energetic changes intensifying. Wondering about the people I repel, and the people who are choosing to just leave this incarnation altogether.
