I Recently visited The famous 50's diner in CT. It was cozy place. The people are friendly, and there's tons of fun memorabilia
The hostess was quick to greet, and lead us to our table.
My sister and her kids are regulars here, so they weren't as impressed with the different "eye candy" scattered throughout the diner. Yet I found myself enjoying them.
I ordered myself a coffee, and waited as everyone settled into their seats. I decided to go with a chorizo quesadilla.
It was really good. Normally I'd order a chicken quesadilla, yet I was feeling the urge to try something different. I found myself really enjoying my choice. It was soft, crunchy, and delicious.
My nephew ordered a burger with curly fries and a vanilla shake. Though I was amazed he was able to finish it.
My niece ordered something that looks pretty good, too bad I don't remember what it was. Though she accompanied it with a chocolate shake. While my sister ordered herself a custom salad. The food was amazing, and everyone seemed pleased.
I sat there making small talk with my niece and nephew, while continuing to take in the random posters and memorabilia.
The chef had done a wonderful job of preparing our food, and everyone seemed satisfied.
After tallying up our bill and cashing out, I took some time to teach my nephew how to use a rotary phone.
He seemed to enjoy the lesson, and proceeded to make mock phone calls.
We said goodbye to our server, who had a delightful smile the entire time we were there.
I took a few minutes to glance once more around the diner, and we headed our way.
It was a nice experience. I spent some time with my family, had an inexpensive meal, and was now ready to go about my day. Overall a great experience.
