Plastic is one of the major contributor of damaging environment and marine life. Plastic straw is one of the most common item which we use in our daily life. It is badly destroying the environment. Most of these straw are made of polypropylene which takes a long time to degrade. It can be broken down into small pieces and releases toxic chemical which is not good for environment,soil, plant and marine life. Moreover animals and marine life doesn't differentiate between plastic and food, they ingested and ultimately died.
Billions of straw are used in every day which is damaging the environment.The biggest problem of these straw is that you can use it one time and discard them. Our little efforts may help to reduce the use of these straw. Most of the straw consumed due to take carbonated water or fizzy drink which itself is not good for health. I started a campaign to take less drinks but it doesn't help if you consume straw with drink.
You can take a drink without straw. At least it will be helpful to reduce the use of straw. I decided to avoid a straw with a simple solution. I would like to recommend other to follow me in this regard. I placed the glass in my car, after purchasing drink I shift the drink in glass as it's easy to take drink in a glass instead without straw. By placing the glass in your bag or car you can avoid a lot of plastic straw and plastic cup. There are many straws available in market which is environmental friendly but majority of the people can't afford these straw due to their high cost. In my opinion it is simple and easy solution to avoid plastic. One can easily adopt it. What is your opinion my friends?
