If you have been reading my blogs regularly you will see that I am spending so much of my time outdoors, especially over the weekend. With so many restrictions going on in almost all parts of the world we have almost forgotten what real freedom is. Most of the people I see are now choosing by themselves to confine themselves in 4 walls. Last week we had a good 5 days holiday and I was checking with my friends if they would like to go somewhere out of the city, and most of them denied. When I asked them if they were scared that they would get the virus, they said, no, we are more concerned about the policing and any hassle if it comes up. So, if we see how the fear index has now shifted from the virus to the policing.
People do not realize that by such actions they themselves are giving away their freedom and this is what is desired also. I feel sad to see such mindsets. Though in my city we really do not have any hassles from the police. Many people are going out and living their lives normally and nothing is happening to them, absolutely no hassle. But then at large there are many people who have developed this fear of the police and heavy fines.
I do not miss any opportunity to be outdoors. Travelling to other countries is painful due to quarantine restrictions so in the last one year, I have been travelling within the country itself and almost every alternate weekend I am out somewhere away from the city. This is my way to celebrate life. And I want to encourage people to do the same. Many of my friends who were so fun loving and chirpy I see how their personalities are changing, I see them stressed, getting cranky, and the sole reason is that most of the time they are indoors, they do not know what to do with their time, they feel lonely and depressed and this reflects in their overall lifestyle.
Life will not exactly happen the way we desire, and sometimes we have to just make our way out by making the most of what is available for us. If we are open in our mind, there will be some ways in which we can find our happiness and we can celebrate life. For me my weekend short breaks are a real big celebration. While most of the world has been now consciously choosing to be indoors, I feel that my outdoors gives me more safety and confidence. If I stay indoors all the time, I will get into depression, I will feel low, and I will start getting into a state of fear, all of this is rather going to bring down my immunity then build up. My 40 mins daily walk in nature makes me so happy, I can feel my energy at a high when I spend my time out in nature, doing what I enjoy. This is the only way I can keep myself emotionally, mentally, spiritually uplifted. This is the way I can keep my health boosted; this is the way I can keep my mood boosted.

Since the time the Covid has begun, I have not felt the Covid restrictions at any point of time, even in the strictest lockdown times, because I have always been able to find my way out to be connected with nature, to keep travelling at regular intervals, even though if it's just within the city limits. Yes, there have been extreme strict times also where stepping out has been almost impossible, but then I always fuel up myself to sustain in such times.
Travelling always delights me and makes me happiest. So, what if I cannot travel to different destinations right now. I can surely travel within the country, within the city. There is so much to explore always and one can never say I am done with travelling. This is my way of celebrating life. I am sure everyone has their own happiness index to celebrate life. It is important to identify that and nurture our soul, especially in these times.
Let's start celebrating life in the way our heart and soul feels delightful and our energies rise.
