Why are you paying tithe when salvation is free? As Christians, we are not supposed pay tithe or anything when it comes to salvation. It has to be done for free. Well, we can give when we feel like there is a need to help the work of salvation. As a matter of fact, God loves it when we help the work of salvation but it has to be done willingly and not make it look like anyone is forcing us to do it.
What’s ten percent? That’s not even what is ordained or allowed by God. What God said is that we should give or help the work of salvation when we have it.
Il Corinthians 9:7 says; Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.
This is the truth. God loves a cheerful giver. If you are the type who gives cheerfully, God loves it other than anyone who gives out anything and makes it feel like he or she was forced to do it.
The same thing goes to what happens in the church. Any pastor who makes it a must for you to give an offering in the church isn’t doing the right thing and also not teaching the right thing in the church.
So why do you think God will tell us to give the church a fixed price which is ten percent? If God is the one who can tell you to give cheerfully, do you also think He will tell you to give Him ten percent of whatever you make? Now, do you see the connection.
It is good to give in the church just as God loves a cheerful giver. He will bless every cheerful giver but not impose a price on you.
