One of the most important lessons Bro. Eli Soriano taught from the Bible is the need to forgive.
Being a true follower of Christ, we are called to forgive those who offend us, even when it is difficult.
as can be seen in the world of today ,many people claim to be Christians, yet they hold on to anger and seek revenge. Bro. Eli explained that our natural instinct is to get angry when someone wrongs us, but God wants us to respond differently. we should not react in anger, we should choose forgiveness.
In Matthew 6:14, the Bible says, “For if you forgive others their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.” Forgiveness opens the door for God’s mercy in our own lives.
But when we refuse to forgive, we also block our own forgiveness. As Matthew 6:15 says, “But if you do not forgive others their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.”
Forgiveness is a sign of true love. If we claim to love others, we must also forgive them. our actions should match our faith. Let us not only speak about love and forgiveness, but live it out daily.
Forgiveness shows that, we truly belong to Christ. Let us walk in love, let go of bitterness, and always choose the better path the path of forgiveness.
