It is said and known that we get better when practicing things that we have learned. Reading the Bible is what Christians should do and also get used to but we have to practice those things that we have learned. We have to practice what the Bible says.
And learning it, it will be a lifetime career or something we get used to for life. You may get used to learning and reading the Bible but you may not get used to practicing what that Holy book says. So, you always have to put it into practice.
When talking about studying the word of God, we do not have to count how many times in which we do that. Have you ever had a feeling of getting better at something the more you put it into practice? That’s why the word of God should be put into practice all the time and that will equal to learning it all the time.
Practically, that is totally different from setting a time when you will open the Bible to study it. Just like some people do, they say they prefer to read their Bibles at night or at a certain time but are they putting it into practice? No! They are not and what’s the essence of the Bible that they are reading? Zero!!!
John 8:31 says; Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed;
Continue in the word of God and the actions of Jesus Christ. If you do that, you do not need to officially read or study the word of God because you are already doing the most important thing.
The best way to study the word of God is by putting what you have learned in practice.
