God created man in his own image. He put man in charge of the nature and all that dwell in it and commanded us to flourish, multiply and subdue the earth. Man is something good because he was created by God in his likeness, which means man is not evil from the inception. As human, we all have the outward and inward man. The outward man is the flesh, while the inward is the spirit. 2 Corinthians 4:16
For which cause, we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day
We all have the outward man. It's our body (the flesh), which will eventually perish. But the inner man is different. Those that are in Christ have two parts; the outward man, and the inward man, but those that are not in Christ have outward man and what is embedded in their inner is beast. Matthew 7:15
Beware of prophets which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves
A wolf is a beast. Anyone who is evil possesses beast inwardly. 2 Peter 2:12, classified those that speak evil as beasts. If you ask many people what they have inside of them, they would never admit having beast as their inward entity. So how do you know what lives in you
If what is inside you is an inner man, or a beast, how do you discern
We should not deceive ourselves. No one can tell us about ourselves except God and us.We know our ways. We know the things we do behind close doors. Because of this, we should be able to know whether the other part of us is a beast. Examine yourself whether you are in the faith
The inward man delight in the law. He's happy with the word of God. Psalm 40:8
I delight to do they will, o my God, yea, they law is within my heart
The word of God dwells in an inward man. He always crave to do good. Those who have beast in them do not want the light. They prefer evil. They don't show love to their wife. They humanize. They disrespect their husband. They furnicate. They prefer to lie than say the truth. Their thoughts are always evil. If you are doing all these, then you need to seek the face of the Lord for forgiveness, and turn a new leaf. Jesus can redeem all sinners if they come with the heart of repentance. A man with an inward beast can have an inward man by surrendering all to the saviour
What should we put in our outward man
Our body is the temple of God and should not be defiled, or adorned. We should respect our gender and try not to look otherwise. A man is not allowed to plait his hair. Adoring the hair and the body with jewelry is also not acceptable. Some people go as far as piercing their tongue because they want to adorn it with gold. It's inappropriate. Dying the hair and changing the colour is not okay. It's hazardous to our health. The skin expels toxic substances from the body, and also has the ability to absorb from the surrounding. So when we use dye, the skin absorbs the chemical, which is not healthy for the body
And I will visit upon her the day of baalim wherein she burns incense to them and she decked herself with her earrings, and her jewels. And she went after her lovers and forgot me says the Lord
This is one of the reason God prohibit wearing of earrings and jewels. It's used for show off. And when you show off, humility is not in play. Let's not adorn our body with jewelries like a Christmas tree. God wants modest apparel. Immodest apparel is prohibited by God
The word of the Lord is the spirit. Psalm 119:11 says
Thy word have I hid in my heart, that I might not sin against thee
