Good afternoon Brethren
This afternoon I'll love to share a message with us and it is titled connected to the true Vine.

Before I go into the message,
What does it mean to be connected
To me, being connected means to be joined in a strong way,it means being linked or plugged into a Main source.
In the book of John 15 from verses 1 -8 we see the message of the True Vine.
The true Vine in the scriptures is Jesus Christ and we are meant to abide or stay connected to him so that we can bear fruits , just like a plant with roots sprouts up and bears fruits, we children of God should bear good fruits as evidence that we are in Jesus the Christ. To be connected to the vine you need to be born again.
It is worthy to note that you cannot produce fruits if you are not connected or deeply rooted in Christ, you cannot fake the fruits of the Spirit either. As children of God, we should constantly depend on the Holy Spirit to help us bear these fruits. We should constantly abide in Jesus and stay away from distractions or facades. We should be careful not to misinterpret service in church for fruits, those are two different things.
If you claim to be in Christ but there are no fruits of the Spirit, the Word of God says you’ll be cut down and thrown into fire because you are not useful to the body of Christ or gentiles.
Works are not fruits, commitment is not a fruit of the Spirit, don’t do things that look like the fruits. Let your life in all honesty portray the fruits of the Spirit (Matt 21:18–19).
Are you connected to the true vine? Are you depending on the Holy Spirit to constantly prune you and strip you of the works of the flesh? Are you reading God’s word (John 15:5), or are you busy in church thinking you’re there when the fruits are lacking? Look inside, introspect, and ask the Holy Spirit to help you.
