God wants a lot of things for His people, but evil is certainly not one of them. The book of Matthew 13:25 is a perfect description of what is happening in our world today. It stated a parable of how a farmer sowed good seeds during the day. But unfortunately during when the night came and everyone was asleep, the enemy came and sowed tares.
Now, whenever we see the words "the enemy" in the Bible, especially in the new testament it refers to one personality, and that is the devil. While the farmer in this passage is talking about God. God placed us here on the earth with the intention that we flourish in it, but the enemy the devil is always in contrary to the will of God. The enemy wants nothing good for us. But on God's part, this is what He wants for us:
Jeremiah 29:11 - For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.
Anything in the form of evil is always the agenda of the enemy. That has been his mission right from time. In the case of the farmer who sowed good seeds and later wake up to see the produce of tares among the good plants, the perfect remedy was to wait for the time of harvest to uproot the bad plants from the good ones lest the good plants will be affected in the process of uprooting the bad ones while they were still growing.
This gives us hope of the glorious day when God would be ridding the world of all the evil that is contained in it, leaving us with a new and perfect world.
