Bro. Eli Soriano, through biblical teaching, explained that praying alone is not enough to bring us closer to God. While prayer is important, it must be followed by action. We should not just pray and remain idle.
In Matthew 7:7, the Bible says, “Ask, and it shall be given to you; seek, and you shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you.” This verse shows a process we ask through prayer, but we also seek and knock by doing our part through effort and obedience.
For example, if someone prays for a better life but does nothing to change or improve, the prayer becomes meaningless. God wants us to act.
Doing what He commands is the real meaning of getting closer to God. It involves living righteously, loving others, and being active in our faith. Praying without effort or change is not what God desires. Real closeness with God comes from both prayer and action.
So let us not stop at praying. Let us also live in a way that shows we are truly seeking God with all our heart.
