Prayer is a powerful way to talk to God. We share our thoughts, say thank you, and ask for help when we pray. It is our way of telling God what is in our hearts. But is praying alone enough to get closer to Him? The answer is no there is more we must do.
In Matthew 7:7, the Bible says, “Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you.” This shows us that prayer (asking) is just the first step. After we ask, we must seek and knock this means we must also take action.
For example, if you pray for a job, you should also prepare your CV, apply for jobs, and go for interviews. If you pray for peace at home, you must also learn to forgive, love, and help your family. Prayer opens the door, but good works and right actions keep it open.
we were showed how to live By Jesus. He prayed often, but He also worked teaching, helping the poor, healing the sick, and loving everyone. We must follow His example as christians.
Praying keeps us close to God, but obeying His word and doing good works makes our faith complete. So, do not just pray and sit down waiting. Pray, trust God, and do your part.
