Are You Wondering if God Wants All Things, Even Evil, to Happen?
We all have questions about God and His will. Does He want all things, even evil, to happen? After all, if He is all-knowing and all-powerful, why would He allow bad things to happen? It's a difficult question to answer, but it's worth exploring. And thanks to Brother Eli for his in-depth teaching on the subject.
I am here to submit my review of the YouTube video by Brother Eli. As I listen to the teaching, I could see the simplicity with which Brother Eli brings light to the matter.
Honestly, the subject is a critical issue among Christians and in the general world. Most Christians often say "what God cannot do doesn't exist", the statement is true and also not true. It's true because with God all things are possible, and it's false because there is no evil in God. The Bible says there's no darkness in Him at all. Therefore, what God cannot do does exist, God cannot do evil.
Some people will argue if God cannot do evil what about all the evil events recorded in the Bible that were attributed to God's doing?
To understand the answer, we need to look at the Bible. The Bible tells us that God has given us free will, meaning that we can choose between good and evil. God does not want us to do evil, but He allows us to make our own choices. Therefore, it is not God who causes evil, but our own decisions.
That's exactly what Brother Eli emphasizes in his teaching on the subject. God has given man commandments and set a boundary in everything. However, anyone who chooses to go beyond the boundary does so at his own risk. God will not be blamed for any evil that happens to anyone who goes beyond the boundary.
For example, in Brother Eli's teaching, he uses the case of adultery. God specifically commanded us not to commit adultery, yet, in our world today, people commit adultery like no man's business even when they know it's an evil act.
Why can't God stop them and other evil in the world? you may ask.
No, God cannot do anything about humans' choices. He has given us free will to make our choices either to obey Him or not. This is what makes us humans, and that's what God wants, that our service to Him is not done under compulsion or being forced on us. You have a right to choose whether to obey God or not.
According to Brother Eli, humans are gifted free will by God like the Angels. The reason God did that is that God wants us to obey him, love him, and worship Him of our own free will. That is what pleases God, obeying him without being forced to worship Him. Without anybody forcing you to obey God's Commandments but as dictated by your faith in your heart, not at the point of a gun that you are going to obey God's law.
God is not like men who forced religion on people at the point of a gun as most religious countries in the world do. If a person does not obey they are going to kill that person. God is pleased with Persons obeying him with faith and free will even if you can do it against this will. God is pleased with those people who by their own free will, surrounded by temptations, surrounded by evil, and disobedience choose to obey God by their free will. That's why not everything that happens is God's will.
There are two reasons why evil happens and none is related to God. Most evil happens because it is the will of the person. The second reason is the will of Satan dwelling in that person or demons dwelling in that person.
The case of Mary Magdalene in the Bible is a clear example of how Satan or demons can cause people to do evil. Mary Magdalene before the time she met the lord Jesus Christ lived and acted under the influence of Satan or demons. The account stated that seven demons came out of her. that means the past life that she lived was lived with these seven demons or seven evil spirits. So whatever Mary Magdalene had done before meeting the Lord Jesus Christ, or before her encounter with the Lord Jesus Christ, was done under the Will of demons.
We can see from the account that evil happenings are never God's will, but, against His will. We have the free will to choose whatever we want. God called heaven and earth to bear witness to His commandments and gave us the free will to make the choice that we like.
We are therefore admonished to choose life because of God's love for us. Even with our free will, God still gives us some concerns, that you may be blessed and that you may live a life of happiness and peace.
Therefore choose life "that both thou and thy seed" thy children may live. That's how it is in this world, not everything that happens is so because God wants it to happen.
Thank you for your time.
