The topic of discussion in this teaching has been a subject of contention between Christians and non-Christians. Have you ever wondered if reincarnation is mentioned in the Bible? Many people believe that it is, and some even think they have experienced past lives. Read on to learn more about what the Bible says about reincarnation in this first part of the series from brother Eli Soriano.
ln this first part of the teaching, brother Eli first established the authority of the Bible as a book that came from God. In his words, the Bible is a book that is in so many instances proven to have come from God. It's written through God's guidance by the inspiration of His holy spirit. God inspired men to write the books of the Bible as we know them now.
When it comes to the discussion of reincarnation, there are those who supported the idea. However, when we look at the Bible itself, we find no mention or support for this idea. it's not difficult to search for anything in the Bible in our days. With the help of a computer, we only need to type in the words and in a few seconds the computer searched the whole Bible for relevant information about the words we are looking for.
When we searched from Genesis to Revelation, nowhere can we find the word reincarnation mentioned. The idea of reincarnation does not come from God, if it was, the Bible would have recorded it.
In fact, in many places, the Bible states that our life on Earth is all we have and we will only live once. We can read the book of Hebrews 9:27 (KJV)
****And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment**:****
If we do not see the word reincarnation and the idea in the Bible, it means God does not support it. As it is appointed unto men once to die if you are going to die once how can you be reincarnated? It is God's appointed will that man shall die once.
There are only a few people in the Bible who died twice because they encountered the miracle of resurrection through the Lord Jesus Christ. One such example is Lazarus who died once but was resurrected by the Lord Jesus Christ and died again but those are special cases and we are sure that there is a norm and the norm is that it is appointed unto men once to die but after this the Judgment.
"If we are given only one chance to live and one chance to die how can there be reincarnation? at reincarnation, you are going to die a hundred times, even a thousand times if you believe in the idea of reincarnation". Brother Eli concluded!
That said, God created us with immortal souls which never cease to exist. When a person dies their soul goes to be judged by God, either for Heaven or Hell, depending on their relationship with Him. So while some people believe in the concept of reincarnation, from a biblical perspective, it does not appear to be supported.
Reincarnation is the belief that the soul of a person can be reborn after death. The concept of reincarnation has been around for thousands of years and is still popular today, but does it have any biblical support? Heaven or Hell. There is no mention of them coming back in another form.
It is clear from scripture that God’s will is that people only die once and face judgment upon death. This means that reincarnation cannot be considered Biblical, as it requires a person to die multiple times and be reborn multiple times as well.
