Out lord and saviour Jesus Christ does not want the death of any sinner and that is why he said in his words that if any sinner turns to him and ask for his sins to be forgiven, he will not cast that sinner out because he is faithful and just to forgive him of all his sins.
Our God is a merciful God, he does not despise anyone, and that is why he is protecting us, giving us a second chance. He is not only protecting the believer, he is protecting everyone and yes, the sinners. Even though God hates disobedience, he does not want the death of sinners and that his why he gave Jonah a second chance to life after he disobeyed the commandment of God.
To show that our God is a just God, he allows the rain to fall on both the righteous and the unjust and he also allows the sun to shine on every. And with this, we should not take his mercy and protection for granted and we should turn to him and forsake the evil ways.
