Few days a go a very close friend of mine was very bitter about what had happened to her, her aunt had just passed and feel weeks later after that the husband also passed and it didn't make any sense what was happening, it pained her so much that God did not reveal this to her, what had happened to them why had it happened without her knowledge ayleast so she could interced for the family ...
The Bible is not just a book of doctrines but a book of prophecies, about our future what b is likely to become of us, and so if we pay close attention to what's written down for our edification we will be able to predict accurately the outcome of our lives...
I always tell people that nothing should take a child of God By surprise, documented in the Bible is our life, somehow you should be able to sense it coming, which is why my friend got so pissed not like she could magically turn things around but she would have prayed and by God's mercies avert that sorrowful moments, as we see in the book of ... John 14:20.

So the scriptures which is the manual of life is actual word of God documented for us to know the things God has in store for us, such a marvelous books of prophecies, it says in John 14:20 that we have been told these things that we might believe when it will happen, so knowing the future as a believer is very possible Cause The spirit of God will reveal these things to us.
We see also in proverbs 16:9
A man’s heart plans his way, But the Lord directs his steps.
So its alright to plan and strategist about the future however in most cases things might not work according to plan, that's why proverbs 16:9 says that a man's heart devised his ways but the lord direct his step, other words the lord will lead him in the way he should go ..like we see in psalms 23......
Psalms 23 is a book of the scriptures that tells us that if we trust on God he will lead us to fulfilling his good will for our lives, instead of using to use our senses to forge our lives if we learn to rely on God he will order our steps in the right direction..
God has destined a perfect and a wonderful life for all of us whether Christian or not but what will activate that reality is how well we have come in close fellowship with him so he will now reveal these things that were preordained before time tonus and when will direct our steps to fulfilling it.
