Here are the points I learnt from the teaching:
There’s a joyous feelings brought by the gathering, 1john 1:12 perfect joy can be felt when you are with the brethren. The purpose of the gathering is not just to give offerings but we are to gather in order to consider one another.
In the church we have obligations to observe one another.
When we are in the gathering we must sing songs to God, because singing is one of the most important things to do in the gathering.
When God created the earth the angels sang, singing is one of the most joyful activity in life. Even God sings, when Jesus Christ was born the angels sang. In the coming day of the Lors the angels will sing, it is our duty to sing to God. Singing brings deliverance, 1samuel 16:23 Saul can be use as a good example, when evil spirit entered into Saul, David delivered him by playing musical instruments.
Sing psalms has many more benefits than how we use it in our world today.
Revelation 1:20 stars means angels in the Bible, the morning stars sang together in the Bible, music exist before man was created, the angels sang to God to glorify him when he was creating the earth.
1chronicle 7:14 from this scripture I understood that God is always near, He wants us to call on Him, if He promise to heal the land how much more will He heal you.
1corithians 14:26-27 so many things should be done in the gathering in an orderly manner, when we gather to worship God, everyone must have a psalm to God and not to any man, and if there is need for speaking in another tongue there should e an interpreter, if there’s no one to interpret then such person should keep silent, so as not to cause confusion among the brethren.
Another thing I learnt is that the gathering can be anytime, any day or any hour, worshiping God on Sunday doesn’t make you a sinner.
My formal believe
I used to think that only the choirs are to sing to God and anyone with a bad voice should not bother singing but now I understand that even when your voice is not good at all God wants to hear you sing to Him.
How this teaching affect my daily life
I will always sing to God with or without a good voice because God wants to hear me sing to Him.
