Blindness for me I would classify as the worst thing to happen to a man. Some people are born blind while some get blind by means of daily endeavours. Jesus Christ when entering Bethsaida, a blind man was brought to him since they knew he did miracles. He held the blind nans hand and led him out somewhere more calm and laid hands upon the blind man. The blind man later recieves his sight completely and Jesus instructs him to go home and not go about testifying. This was probabaly beacuse he needed some time to regain complete and perfect sight.
● Mark 8:22–26 (KJV):
*22. And he cometh to Bethsaida; and they bring a blind man unto him, and besought him to touch him.
- And he took the blind man by the hand, and led him out of the town; and when he had spit on his eyes, and put his hands upon him, he asked him if he saw ought.
- And he looked up, and said, I see men as trees, walking.
- After that he put his hands again upon his eyes, and made him look up: and he was restored, and saw every man clearly.
- And he sent him away to his house, saying, Neither go into the town, nor tell it to any in the town.*
For me, i view this not only as a display of the power of Jesus but also the path of spiritual enlightenment for believers. The man initially was led away from the town telling undicating that our encounter with Jesus has to be personal. Also his eyes gradually getting back sight and seeing better related to me how after the encounter christains start to see the truth and the path to eternal life clearly.
