God has an exceptional way of showing his love for each of us. At no point did God say, "I'll love you if you behave well," "I love you when you behave well," "God loves you because you deserve it." We don't find these texts in the Bible. But we do find that God loved us even in our worst moments.
When we were sinners, enemies of God, when we had no idea but didn't want to know anything about God, Jesus Christ decided to give his life for us so that the meaning of our lives would take a different direction, so that we would no longer strive to reach God, believing we could. Jesus Christ broke with everything known to man up to that point; human logic was overcome, since our love depends on how we are treated and whether or not we deserve it. While God's love comes first and takes the initiative, always going ahead, God tells us something like this: "I know who you are, I know what you did, and with all this, I love you so much that I am willing to give everything for you."
All of this helps us understand that we don't have to cleanse ourselves because we don't have the capacity to do so in order to present ourselves before God. We must present ourselves as we are, since He loves us in this way—quotely, as we are. There is nothing we can do to make Him love us more, much less to make God love us less. This love is not a feeling; it is a fact, a demonstration of love on the cross.
But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

Dios tiene una forma excepcional demostrar su amor por cada uno de nosotros, en ningún momento Dios dijo: "te amaré si te portas bien", "te amo cuando te portas bien", "Dios te amo porque te lo mereces". En la Biblia no encontramos estos textos. Pero si encontramos que Dios nos amó aún en nuestro peor momento.
Cuándo éramos pecadores, enemigos de Dios, cuando no teníamos idea pero tampoco queríamos saber nada de Dios, Jesucristo decidió entregar su vida por nosotros para que el sentido de nuestra vida tome un rumbo diferente, para que ya no nos esforcemos en tratar de alcanzar a Dios creyendo que podríamos. Jesucristo rompe con todo lo conocido hasta ese momento por el hombre, la lógica humana fue doblegada ya que nuestro amor es conforme nos tratan y si lo merecemos o no. Mientras que el amor de Dios va en primer lugar y toma la iniciativa adelantándote siempre, Dios nos dice algo como lo siguiente: "sé quién sos, sé lo que hiciste y con todo esto te amo tanto que estoy dispuesto a dar todo por vos".
Todo esto nos da entender que no tenemos que limpiarnos porque no tenemos la capacidad de hacerlo para presentarnos delante de Dios, debemos presentarnos tal cual somos ya que el de esa manera nos ama abro comillas tal cual somos" no hay nada que podamos hacer para que él nos ame más y mucho menos para que Dios nos ame menos. Ese amor no se trata de un sentimiento es un hecho una demostración de amor en la cruz.
Mas Dios muestra su amor para con nosotros, en que siendo aún pecadores, Cristo murió por nosotros
