Thanks be to God and mcgi for another wonderful explorative teachings at the mass indoctrination day 11
Important points I learnt from God's word discussed.
They're works God entrusts to us to fulfill.
The table symbolizes the church where people are being fed. You can't drink the cup of the lord and the cup of devils. You can't be partakers of the lord's table and the devil. They're works that God lives to us to do and fulfill. They're things that even if it's not commanded to you, you do them. A vow is done voluntarily, it's not dictated to you.
Numbers 35 emphasizes that a man shouldn't break his word. A vow comes from you. It's not prohibited for you to marry. God didn't prohibit the early christians from marrying. Making a vow is voluntary and you won't be obliged by God.
If you have fear of God, you won't go back on your word.
Ecclesiastes 5:5 emphasizes that one should do that which you've vowed. Make a vow if you want a favor from God. Even the apostles made a vow.
Giving a contribution is according to what your heart decides. You give according to what you've proposed in your heart. The contribution in the church is your own decision. We're the one to decide how much we'll give. You'll voluntarily approach the box ajd the box will not be brought to you.
In the true church, the brethren gwve according to the decision of their heart. There's no fixed price, it's you that decide what to give.
Do not boast of your contribution. The contribution of the brethren is use to provide social services. The money are user to send help to orphans and care for widows and the aged.
The contribution are also used to proclaim the gospel.
You should give thanks voluntarily.
The following were my old beliefs or expectations that were improved by listening.
1.i thought it was compulsory to give before.
2.I thought giving tithe is compulsory.
How teaching affects me as a better person.
1.I now know that making a vow is voluntarily.
2.I now know that the contribution of the brethren are used to provide for the widows, orphans and the aged.
3.I now know that we should do Thanksgiving voluntarily.
4.I now know that if we want something from God we should make a vow.
5.I now know that they're things that are not commanded to us, but you have to do them.
