Hello everyone @mcgi community, today's topic is really interesting and i want to share it with us all.
Marrying after the death of spouse - Is it allowed by the bible?
From bro Eli's teaching, there's a clear proof that the bible allows the window to remarry.
I know many religion may feel that this is a sin.
But from scriptural view point,a widow is permitted to marry another husband.
Hebrews 4:14
For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
From this message there are many reasons why our heavenly father allows remarrying after the death of a spouse.
For from the scriptures above, the word of God is powerful enough to discern our thoughts and the intent of our hearts,he knows and understands our emotions,he knows our weaknesses and can also geel our pains.
Psalm 103 : 14
For he knoweth our frame; he remembereth that we are dust.
This is a caring God who wouldn't want his children to die of loneliness,he understands that we are but dust, weak and fragile.
That's why in the scriptures below he carefully permitted a spouse to remarry after the death of spouse
Romans 7 : 2-3
[2] For the woman which hath an husband is bound by the law to her husband so long as he liveth; but if the husband be dead, she is loosed from the law of her husband. [3] So then if, while her husband liveth, she be married to another man, she shall be called an adulteress: but if her husband be dead, she is free from that law; so that she is no adulteress, though she be married to another man.
He knows that the spouse who is left behind may long for care and someone to confide in that's why he stated above that such a spouse is free or loosed from the law of her husband and she is free from the law.
