Birthday celebration is a big things in our world today. People want to get gifted or even celebrated on their birthday. The birth of christ is one of the most celebrated births in the world today and this topic is going to enlighten us more about celebration of birth. Reading from the book of luke chapter 2 verse 41-50, we can see that the sarth parents of Jesus usually celebrated the passover feast but did not celebrate the birth of Jesus continually. This was the belief of the jews that the death of someone is celebrated as it is termed that the persons life race is over and the life crown has been worn.
Luke 2:41-42 (KJV):
41 Now his parents went to Jerusalem every year at the feast of the passover.
42 And when he was twelve years old, they went up to Jerusalem after the custom of the feast.
We can draw from Ecclesiastes 7 verse 1 that it is worth celebrating a person who have lived a good life and left a good legacy before death than celebrating the birth of a person.
Ecclesiastes 7:1 (KJV):
A good name is better than precious ointment; and the day of death than the day of one's birth.
