Staying fit is something that is essential and should be everybody's business. Paying attention to our health is something that should not be neglected. It takes a healthy body to enjoy in the blessings of God. Nothing should keep us to occupied that should leave us with no time to look after our health. As believers, it is God's desire that we prosper not only in material aspects but every other areas, and one of them is in our health.
That is why whenever Jesus was on earth whenever he came across anyone who was afflicted with any health challenge He administered healing to them. For us to function properly our physical well-being needs to be in check. We are custodians of our bodies. Nobody can take care of our bodies better than ourselves, except for little children who are still coming up.
1 Timothy 4.8
For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.
We should see to maintaining a healthy lifestyle, that is one of the least things that we can do for ourselves. Everything that can compromise our health who be abstained from. It could be the kind of substance we take in, that is the aspect of nutrition. We should know the right things to consume and the ones that we should not. Saving money for material possession at the expense feeding properly is not really a good idea.
One of the best decisions we can make for ourselves should be directed towards a healthy living. Doing what we supposed to do would go a long way into living a healthy life and would prevent us from experiencing lot of health complications. Sometimes instead of taking a bike to a destination that is not really far we can decide to turn it into going for a work. Little things like walking certain distances and participating in sports would do us a lot of good.
