War, starvation and suffering-what can be done biblically? (Part 1 of 4)
He is giving us early the warnings so that we will be prepared; and we will fear Him that we must obey His words.
The Bible has only one answer to this question, all the mysteries that are now faced by humanity; not only in poor countries but even rich countries like the USA. This is a result of human transgressions and disrespect to God’s law
Deuteronomy 28:15–
"But it shall come to pass, if thou wilt not hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe to do all his commandments and his statutes which I command thee this day; that all these curses shall come upon thee, and overtake thee:"

Those are pronouncements of God, telling the israelites as a people. The israelites were the first chosen people of God on Earth. They are loved by God, in as much as God promised them blessings in every way of their lives; in every way of their lives, they will be blessed
Deuteronomy 28:1–

"And thy heaven that is over thy head shall be brass, and the earth that is under thee shall be iron."
