The Bible is more than just a book; it's God's very own Word. It is like a guide passed down from God through men who were led by His Spirit unto God's people. It is meant to correct our paths, and even rebuking us when we go astray. The important of them all is that the Bible lays out all of God's amazing promises and everything He has done for us.
If you truly want to understand what God has done for you, then going through the Bible and studying it is exactly what you need to do. To grasp what God is saying, you have to be willing to sit down and truly dig into His Word. It's also worth noting that God's direct will for us—His revealed plan—is found right there in the Bible.
God’s revealed will is clearly laid out, and the first place to look for His guidance is always in the Bible. It actually tells us a lot about ourselves, things we might not even realize on our own. This makes perfect sense because God is our Creator; He knew us intimately even before He formed us. We can't fully know ourselves to the extent that God does, and that’s why He uses the Bible as a way to reveal these truths to us.
One significant thing the Bible talks about concerning us is our hearts. It tells us that the heart can be deceitful and desperately wicked. But despite this, the Bible also says that "God is close to the brokenhearted."
Psalms 34:18 beautifully confirms this: "The LORD is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit."
As believers, we absolutely should not neglect God's Word, which is found in the Bible. Everything we need to know and grow in our faith is contained right there within its pages.
