Many of us are truly privileged to be in the positions we are, and that's entirely because of God's goodness in our lives. Everything about God is good, from the moment of creation to how He interacts with humanity. Since we are created in His likeness, we too should walk in that same path by doing good to others. In fact, it's a genuine privilege to have the opportunity to help those in need.
Doing good to people isn't just a nice thought; it's a practical action. Our choices and the things we actually do are what identify our good works.
James 2:15 & 16
15_If a brother or sister be naked, and destitute of daily food,
16_And one of you say unto them, Depart in peace, be ye warmed and filled; notwithstanding ye give them not those things which are needful to the body; what doth it profit?
There are people whom God has specifically entrusted to our care, people He wants us to reach out to. If all we do is wish each other well without taking any practical steps, we might never see real change, either in their lives or in our own.
Galatians 6:10 - As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith.
As I mentioned, we should truly consider the ability to help others a great privilege, because not everyone has that same opportunity. And our good deeds shouldn't be limited to just our family or closest friends; they should extend to everyone we encounter in life.
