Studying the Word of God is a lifetime career. We do not just study the Word of God and we do not count the time that we study the Word of God. We must study the Word of God always so that we can observe to do what we are being taught.
The Bible admonishes us to study the Word always. It says that we should study to be approved. That is we should study till we have fully understood what is written there. The more we study the Bible, the more we understand what the word of God says.
Someone who does not understand the instructions that is given to him won't be able to obey them. To do the will of God and obey His commandments, we must understand what the Bible says. The Bible contains the Word of God. The doctrines of the church are written in the word. So, as we study them daily, we are vested with the knowledge of God and we will be able to do what God says.
