Greetings, beloved in Christ Jesus, I believe we are doing well. I welcome you to my blog once again.
It was another wonderful day under the teachings of our brother Eli. I learn a lot. Indeed, faith comes by hearing and hearing the word of God. Well, it's another privilege to share what I took from these unadulterated teachings of the Man of God, Eli.
Do good to all men; this is where it all started. Doing good should not be limited to some group of people. It should be like a disease that spreads beyond borders. Someone is wondering: does it have to include my enemies? Do I have to do good to my enemies and to those who do evil to me also? Yes, that is even what the Bible tells us to do. That is the most important aspect of doing good. This is the most required group of people we need to do good too.
When we do this, it will be so easy for us to do good to those close to us, because just imagine having the power and the ability to be nice to those who hate you; how much more to those who love you and do good to you? So now I bet you understand my point of view. This is one that I really appreciate learning from today's gathering.
To add up, God requires us to do good to everyone because we are to set an example for others to follow. If someone does evil to you and you pay him or her back with evil, then how does that distinguish you from the evil doer? Hence, it is our obligation to do good to all men, especially to those who are not even of the household of faith. This way, they can be convinced that we are the light of the world. Being the light of the world means we should always shine bright. We should overcome darkness at all costs. The best way is to replace evil with good. (Philippians 2:15)
Our way of life speaks more than our words. As the usual saying goes, "Action speaks louder than words." This is very true, which is why we need to be careful of our actions. Doing good always means being careful with our actions so that others do not doubt our God and rather join us because we have proven to be indeed children of God and are walking in His ways. Our way of life can speak on our behalf. It can portray the light in us to others, especially people in the darkness.
Evil: when people speak evil against a person full of light and he or she chooses to ignore it, in the days of the coming of the Holy Spirit, they will have a change of mind because they have seen the list in you. (1 Peter 2:12)
Brother Eli used himself as an example. He said there was this man who hated him because his wife decided to join his church and fellowship with him. The man was so furious that he rejected the wife, but later on, he was surprised when this same man came back to him and hugged him. He said the wife has managed to change the man. That tells us how powerful women are in changing their rebellion husbands. This can be seen in the book of 1 Peter 2:12.
Never change when people speak evil of you so that on the last days the name of the Lord will be glorified. (1 Peter 3:1)
The church and the people of God are unique. But as we are saying, there are still people within the church who might be troublemakers. Their presence will make outsiders think they are not different from them. The unbeliever will begin to think that the church is not good because there are evildoers within. They spoil the soup. The Bible encourages us to take them out. If not, they will impact others negatively. And this may drive innocent people away, and even those who want to change for the better may not because they have not seen any good in them. Bad companies corrupt good manners, as we know. (1 Corinthians 2:24)
That is why the Mcgi Cares Church frowns upon any evil act within the church. Other churches may accept all sorts of evil acts, but not in the MCGI CARES. This is because that is the law of the Holy Bible. Evildoers should not be entertained among the children of God. They will be like wolves in a sheep's clothing. They are very dangerous, and as time goes on, they begin to eat the flocks gradually. That is why it is allowed to expel those who still go about committing certain evil acts frowned upon in the Bible: fornicators and adulters, thieves, etc. These are acts that are not supposed to be tolerated in the church.
Anyone caught on several occasions engaging in these acts should be expelled, regardless of the person's origin, gender, or status in life. Even those who are very rich and have very high occupational status (Ezekiel 34:2)
In so doing, only good doers are retained in the church, and they will have the power to win souls for Christ Jesus, which will give them the title of wise ones. God calls those who win souls wise, and whatever they request in His name, He gives to them freely.
Soul-winning is a very important aspect of every church's or Christian's life. This is what makes the heavens rejoice. The Bible says that even when a single soul is saved, the heavens and the angels sing glorious songs. God is so delighted in the lives of souls won. And we can do this by being good to everyone.
I think I have spoken enough; let me draw the curtains here. In a nutshell, doing good is very important and necessary in the household of faith because the Bible refers to us as the light of the world. There is no way a light should do evil. Light cannot emit darkness. Always do good, so we can live in peace with everyone and, most importantly, win souls for Christ Jesus so that we can be called wise.
Thank you, and I hope to see you at tomorrow's gathering. Shalom, Peace!!!
