¡Hola a todos! Tiempo sin escribir por acá jejeje y es que estos últimos meses en el primer semestre de Artes Plásticas, han sido bastante apretados. Más para mí, que aparte de estudiar también tengo que trabajar. Por suerte, mi horario flexible de medio turno, me permitió ir a mis clases respectivas y trabajar, sin ningún problema. Pero, como no todo es color de rosa, al momento de realizar las actividades de de la materia Dibujo 1, tenía que aplicar la de trasnocharme varias noches seguidas para poder cumplir con todo lo mandado. Admito que fue algo demasiado agotador sólo dormir una o dos hora, para luego ir a clases, trabajar y volver a desvelarme... pero, también fue muy gratificante, porque estaba haciendo algo que me gustaba, sólo que no tenía la energía suficiente para disfrutarlo del todo je je
Hello everyone! Time without writing here lol and these last few months in the first semester of Fine Arts, have been quite tight. More so for me, apart from studying I also have to work. Luckily, my flexible part-time schedule allowed me to go to my respective classes and work without any problem. But, since not everything is rosy, at the time of carrying out the activities of the subject Drawing 1, I had to apply the one of staying up late several nights in a row to be able to comply with everything ordered. I admit that it was too tiring just to sleep for an hour or two, then go to class, work and wake up again... but, it was also very rewarding, because I was doing something that I liked, only I didn't have enough energy to do it. enjoy it all hehe
Luego de todo mi esfuerzo, logré aprobar la materia. No con la mejor nota de la clase, pero al menos sé que hice mi mejor esfuerzo con el tiempo que disponía. Ya contando con una carrera universitaria (Análisis de Sistemas), sabía que no iba a ser nada fácil afrontar este reto de volver al salón de clases, pero aún así, lo asumí. Ahora, luego de terminado el semestre, puedo decir que es posible.
After all my effort, I managed to pass the subject. Not with the best grade in the class, but at least I know I did my best with the time I had. Already having a university degree (Systems Analysis), I knew that it was not going to be easy to face this challenge of going back to the classroom, but even so, I accepted it. Now, after the semester is over, I can say that it is possible.
Tuvimos una clase final, en la que el profesor nos habló sobre su experiencia de tenernos a nosotros como grupo, así como desearnos lo mejor para el siguiente semestre. Yo ya había tenido una charla extensa con él hacía apenas unas semanas atrás, motivándome a continuar la carrera a pesar de las ocupaciones y lo que parecen ser obstáculos. Mientras escuchábamos las palabras del profesor, veíamos las bitácoras que él había traído para mostrarnos. Las cuales son cuadernos con bocetos o practicas de dibujos, aconsejándonos hacer lo mismo para no sólo ver nuestro avance con el tiempo, sino para hacer anotaciones sobre aprendizaje de técnicas y estilos de dibujo.
We had a final class, in which the professor told us about his experience of having us as a group, as well as wishing us the best for the next semester. I had already had an extensive talk with him just a few weeks ago, motivating me to continue the race despite the busyness and what seem to be obstacles. As we listened to the professor's words, we saw the logs that he had brought to show us. Which are notebooks with sketches or drawing practices, advising us to do the same to not only see our progress over time, but to make notes on learning drawing techniques and styles.
Fue muy interesante ver sus trabajos. Yo misma tengo mis dibujos y anotaciones, pero los tengo dispersos. Espero poder organizarme para poder ir elaborando mi propia bitácora de dibujos... Durante el semestre estuvimos elaborando nuestras propias bitácoras, pero nos nos acercamos ni por poco a lo esperado por el profesor, más que nada por la falta de tiempo y la realización de los ejercicios que debíamos que realizar de tarea.
It was very interesting to see their work. I myself have my drawings and annotations, but I have them scattered. I hope to be able to organize myself to be able to create my own drawing blog... During the semester we were creating our own blogs, but we did not even come close to what the professor expected, more than anything due to lack of time and the completion of the exercises that we had to do for homework.
Finalizada la charla del profesor, procedimos a ir en busca de todos nuestros trabajos realizados durante el semestre (dado que el profesor se los había llevado para evaluarlos). No fue una tarea muy limpia, dado que estaban realizados a base de carboncillo y tiza en su mayoría, así que, la labor de búsqueda, nos dejó a todos con las manos manchadas. Pero aún así, fue agradable ir viendo el trabajo de cada compañero. Muchos de nosotros no sabíamos que teníamos las aptitudes para realizar dibujos de aquellas magnitudes.
After the teacher's talk, we proceeded to go in search of all our work done during the semester (since the teacher had taken them to evaluate them). It was not a very clean task, since they were mostly made with charcoal and chalk, so the search left us all with stained hands. But even so, it was nice to see the work of each colleague. Many of us did not know that we had the skills to make drawings of those magnitudes.
Una vez recogidos todos nuestros trabajos, pudimos retirarnos. Aún me falta mucho por aprender, pero luego de este semestre, me siento mucho más confiada con mis capacidades, pues recuerdo que cuando empecé, pensaba que no tenía lo necesario para poder hacer un dibujo que fuera aceptable para las evaluaciones. No recibí las mejores calificaciones, pero si vi mi evolución en mis trazos a los largo de los meses, sorprendiéndome de mi misma ante los resultados obtenidos. Sin lugar a dudas, mis ánimos con referencia a la materia de dibujo que nos toque cursar en el segundo semestre, sin duda, están más altos que nunca.
Once all our papers were collected, we were able to leave. I still have a lot to learn, but after this semester, I feel much more confident with my abilities, because I remember that when I started, I thought that I did not have what it took to be able to make a drawing that would be acceptable for evaluations. I did not receive the best grades, but I did see my evolution in my strokes over the months, surprising myself with the results obtained. Without a doubt, my spirits with reference to the subject of drawing that we have to take in the second semester, without a doubt, are higher than ever.
