¡Hola a todos! Para el que no me conozca, soy estudiante de Artes plásticas y suelo subir por acá mis experiencias como nuevo ingreso, más que nada para rememorar mis vivencias y verlas desde otro ángulo. Y siguiendo esa línea de acontecimientos, les cuento que hoy la clase de Historia estuvo muy divertida.
Hi all! For those who do not know me, I am a student of Plastic Arts and I usually upload my experiences here as a new entry, mostly to recall my experiences and see them from another angle. And following that line of events, I tell you that today the History class was very fun.
Para la clase que tendríamos el día de hoy, estaba pautado el tema sobre Egipto, así que, la idea era ir preparados para participar en un debate sobre el tema. Esta temática de estudio ya la había aplicado la profesora anteriormente con la Edad de la Prehistoria. Aquí mismo les comenté lo interesante que fue esa clase, dado que mis compañeros demuestran mucho entusiasmo a la hora de estudiar civilizaciones antiguas.
For the class that we would have today, the topic on Egypt was scheduled, so the idea was to be prepared to participate in a debate on the topic. This subject of study had already been applied by the teacher previously with the Age of Prehistory. Right here I told you how interesting that class was, since my classmates show a lot of enthusiasm when it comes to studying ancient civilizations.
En fin, para ésta clase en específico, parecía que la mecánica iba a ser la misma: Un simple debate civilizado o charla entre los estudiantes. Hasta que inesperadamente la profesora nos mandó a dividirnos en grupos de 8 estudiantes y luego nos dio a cada grupo, el nombre de un Dios Egipcio. La idea: Representar al Dios con lo que tuviéramos a nuestra disposición y defenderlo. La euforia se sintió en el aire, una actividad nueva que exigía que los estudiantes de Artes fueran creativos, era como echarle leña al fuego. De esa manera tuvimos 10 minutos para prepararnos con lo que sea que encontráramos.
Anyway, for this specific class, it seemed that the mechanics were going to be the same: A simple civilized debate or talk between the students. Until unexpectedly the teacher ordered us to divide into groups of 8 students and then gave each group the name of an Egyptian God. The idea: Representing God with what we had at our disposal and defending him. The euphoria was felt in the air, a new activity that demanded that the students of Arts be creative, it was like adding fuel to the fire. That way we had 10 minutes to prepare with whatever we found.
A nuestro grupo le tocó el Dios Ra, quien está asociado al sol y a la creación. Contra reloj escogimos a uno de nuestros compañeros para representarlo, pasándole varios accesorios y elaborando un sol artificial utilizando un bombillo que uno de los chicos encontró dentro del salón y un papel con la palabra "Sol". No teníamos casi nada, así que con lo que se logró armar para representar a Ra, quedé muy satisfecha. Sobre todo porque nos dividimos entre nosotros para las tareas de la elaboración del sol (yo participé en ésta), la vestimenta y maquillaje del compañero que iba a representar al Dios, así como los que estaban investigando en sus teléfonos todo lo referente al Dios para poder hablar sobre él.
Our group got the God Ra, who is associated with the sun and creation. Against the clock we chose one of our classmates to represent it, giving him various accessories and making an artificial sun using a light bulb that one of the boys found in the room and a piece of paper with the word "Sun". We had almost nothing, so with what was put together to represent Ra, I was very satisfied. Especially because we divided between ourselves for the tasks of making the sun (I participated in this one), the clothing and makeup of the partner who was going to represent God, as well as those who were investigating everything related to God on their phones to to be able to talk about him
Fue una actividad sumamente graciosa y divertida. Me sorprendió de sobre manera como todos lograron armar una descripción sobre quién era su Dios, a través de una especie de mini obra en tan poco tiempo. Hubieron muchos golpes falsos, muchas risas y por supuesto, aplausos. Sobre todo cuando nos tocó a nosotros, mis compañeros hicieron la escena en que el Dios Ra, levantaba su mano y el sol se movía a su antojo (y mi compañera se movía con el sol en sus manos), no sé porqué, pero mis compañeros entraron en una emoción muy grande, como si estuvieran muy sorprendidos del "efecto especial" ja ja ja.
It was an extremely funny and fun activity. I was surprised in the way that everyone managed to put together a description of who their God was, through a kind of mini play in such a short time. There were a lot of false hits, a lot of laughter and of course, applause. Especially when it was our turn, my companions made the scene in which the God Ra raised his hand and the sun moved as it pleased (and my companion moved with the sun in her hands), I don't know why, but my classmates got into a great emotion, as if they were very surprised by the "special effect" ha ha ha.
Fue una clase bastante amena y divertida. Siento que me ayudó bastante, dado que por problemas personales, no me sentía con buen animo, mucho menos para participar en el debate. Pero ésta actividad me permitió relajarme lo suficiente como para empezar a ayudar al grupo a realizar la representación lo mejor posible, aparte de reírme mucho. Me gusta el entusiasmo de todos y cómo se mantiene el espíritu de grupo a pesar de que nos dividan. Sólo espero que eso logre mantenerse con el tiempo.
It was a very enjoyable and fun class. I feel that it helped me a lot, since due to personal problems, I did not feel in good spirits, much less to participate in the debate. But this activity allowed me to relax enough to start helping the group perform as well as possible, apart from laughing a lot. I like everyone's enthusiasm and how the team spirit is maintained despite the fact that we are divided. I just hope that manages to hold up over time.
Ya con esta, se dan por terminadas las clases de Historia por éste año. Volvemos en Enero con más energía (se supone ja ja) y con una actividad pendiente que es bastante curiosa, así que, estaremos en contacto para cuando la realice.
