Hello my amazing Hivers! How are you? I hope you're doing well. It's @xavierariz and I'm back again with another story to tell.
Hello everyone! Today, I'm excited to share my first-ever salon experience. Can you believe that I've been around in this world for 18 years already yet this is my first time at a hair salon? Well, it is true. This was actually also the first time I've done something nice for myself and spent money on me. It was also a much-needed haircut after my failed attempt at cutting my own hair. I've been wondering this for quite sometime now, but, is it just me, or does anyone else get the urge to cut their hair every after a stressful situation?
Moving on, I got my hair done on a school day; it was actually such a rush. We didn't have any classes in the afternoon, so I grabbed that chance to finally get my haircut fixed. I didn't know any salon, so my partner suggested getting it done at the same salon where she gets her hair done. But before everything else, we first had lunch at Jollibee. I refused at first, since too much fast food is not only bad for our bodies but also for our money. However, she was really begging me to eat there, saying she was so hungry, and when I saw her eyes as she pouted her lips, I couldn't help but give in.
After eating, we sat down at the plaza to edit a video of me, a requirement for applying as an ESL teacher. After editing, it was almost 2 pm, so we headed to the salon. I was hesitant at first because I was afraid it would cost a lot, and every penny counts, but my partner said it would be only 100 Philippine pesos. So I took the risk and finally got it done. When we arrived at the salon, we had to wait first because we were a walked-in client without a reservation so it's just understandable.
THE STYLZ SALON
Thankfully, we didn't have to wait long and it's finally my turn. The Stylist asked me if I had any haircut in mind and I told him that he's free to do whatever he wants as long as it's not gonna be too short. So he immediately started cutting my hair and giving me layers. It didn't take long when he started drying my hair and even styled it. A haircut and styling for 100?! Totally worth it the prize! Not to mention, their service is good too! For anyone living in Bogo City or near, I totally recommend trying this salon and let me know what you think.
As someone who loves taking pictures, I immediately took a selfie and even asked my partner to photograph me.
FROM STRESS TO LESS STRESS-LOOKING
I really really reeealllyyy looovee my haircut!!! I felt like I was a new person and it made me realize that spending money on myself is not a waste after all. Self-care is really is important, I'm glad I finally realized it. I felt so pretty during that time that it made me less stress-looking. I was still stress but at least not as obvious as before lol.
