Así que luego de leer sus posts vi la oportunidad de compartir una publicación con ustedes cuando tuve que trasplantar mi cactus.
I have always liked succulents and cacti, for several years I have been living in an apartment where the balcony is totally closed so it generates a greenhouse effect keeping the heat of the afternoon. It is literally a hell so the only thing that survives are cacti and succulents, on the one hand, the space conditioned me to have these plants, but on the other hand I admire the great resistance they have and the particular beauty that each species of succulent has.

It continued to grow and we took the opportunity to prune it, in turn we transplanted these parts and they also grew so we were able to give them to friends and family. I also had a hamster that from time to time we left on the balcony and to many people's surprise he liked to eat this cactus, he carefully removed the thorns and took care of nibbling the juiciest and softest parts.

Siguió creciendo y aprovechamos para podarlo, a su vez trasplantamos estas partes y también crecieron así que pudimos regalárselos a amigos y familiares. También tuve un hámster que de vez en cuando lo dejábamos en el balcón y para sorpresa de muchos le gustaba comerse este cactus, cuidadosamente retiraba las espinas y se encargaba de mordisquear las partes más jugosas y blandas.

In the last months I wanted to enlarge my variety of plants so from the street I rescued a cutting of another type of cactus and I brought it to my house, I planted it, took care of it and with the passage of time I created roots, the problem here is that being a plant from the street apparently it brought a type of fungus that affected my other plant, I tried to cut the sick parts but it seemed the end of my cactus so I went to the nursery to ask questions and they recommended me a fungicide that after a few weeks of application worked very well and I got the plant to recover.
Este cactus ha sobrevivido a calor extremo, a un hámster hambriento y porque no decirlo, a mis cuidados jajaja así que ver estas ganas que tiene de vivir me ha dado mucho cariño por esta fantástica planta. En los últimos meses quise agrandar mi variedad de plantas así que de la calle rescate un esqueje de otro tipo de cactus y lo traje a mi casa, lo plante, cuide y con el paso del tiempo creo raíces, el problema aquí es que al ser una planta de la calle al parecer trajo un tipo de hongo que afecto a mi otra planta, intente ir cortando las partes enfermas pero parecía el final de mi cactus así que fui al vivero para preguntas y me recomendaron un fungicida que tras unas semanas de aplicación funciono muy bien y logre que la planta fuera recuperándose.

I bought a bigger pot so that it could spread out lengthwise. For this task I bought some soil to refill and renew the soil. Remove my previous cactus from its pot using a fork to remove the soil, this way the roots are damaged as little as possible and the soil is lifted to replant it, put some compost in the new pot and on top of it more soil to cover it. Once I removed the cactus with some gloves I moved it and placed it in the new pot, sadly the gloves were not enough for the fine thorns, but it helped to make the work bearable. I moistened the soil so that it would give way and settle, adding more soil where needed and the job was done.

Compre una maceta más grande para que pudiera extenderse a lo largo. Para esta tarea compre algo de tierra para rellenar y renovar la tierra. Por otro lado, trate con el mismo fungicida al cactus que traje de la calle, este parecía tener una resistencia natural, pero de todas formas era necesario exterminar al hongo de la propia planta y de la tierra para que no me diera más problemas, a su vez aproveche para trasplantar este cactus logrando que sus brotes crezcan aún más.
