Today we have part two of our full day out this past September on a lovely kayak trip from our beach. We are lucky in our shore line in that it so varies and we can go out into the bay into more open sea or skirt along the beach to various inlets of salt water streams and marshland.
As I mentioned in our previous video, we love to plan a day , such as this, when Sister in law can come down for the week and we take day trips to say farewell to the Blue Herons and Snowy Egrets. This past year, we were rather late in doing it, so Sister in law only got to view the snowy egrets, except for the One blue heron straggler,
Intersting note, about that blue heron, is he continued to nest with the egrets until they finally left for warmer climbs .He, as of today late December, is still roosting and fishing our shore, He has been lucky thus far, as we've only had a couple days of freeze but not in a row and today we have Spring-like weather. I hope he makes it through the season.
