I think all things considered, this week is has been rather quiet on all fronts for the crypto markets. HIVE has seen some action with the launch of LEOTHREADS @leofinance @leogrowth, so check that out if you're into HIVE's version of Twitter. I've been taking part in their gamified quest for the 10k USD grand prize. I doubt I'll get anywhere near winning it, but I am having fun with just getting points and achievements while building some engagement. 🤣
On the Splinterlands dev side of the game, the new Legendary Promo card Zyriel has gone on SALE this past week. So be sure to grab a copy or more if you intend to add the first ever dual splinter card into your arsenal.
A new ruleset, BORN AGAIN, has also been added to the game. 😜
But before I go into detail...
A brief introduction before I start though...
Good Day to all Splinterlands players! (and people of HIVE! 😜) I've made it a point to blog about my weekly progress and experiences in Splinterlands/HIVE in my "weekly diary". Splinterlands & HIVE are what I'd consider to be my entry point into the World of Crypto, and I intend to use this as a means to look back on the path I've taken in the years ahead.⏳⏳⏳
This is now the 76th consecutive week writing in my Diary (of sorts) detailing my Splinterlands Journey ever since I started this game. I talk about what has gone on my personal Splinterlands playing experience, my weekly Guild Brawl Reports, and also any Splinterlands ingame news. 🎉🥳🎊
No week goes by in Splinterlands without some news event happening though. And here's my pick of some of the most interesting ones in my opinion. 📰📰📰

With nothing "new" being introduced or any end of season sprints to interrupt, this past week has basically been all about just grinding for the daily quests and hopefully getting a lucky jackpot or so. (unfortunately, I had no such luck 😅)
The season also just restarted, so the climb back up has been brutal. The phenomena which I've noticed since 2-3 seasons ago has remained in effect. Very high level decks are still in the lower ranks of play for no explicable reason at all. And by that, I mean level 2 legendary summoners with their corresponding maxed cards in leagues as low as Silver 3!
How on earth anyone with cards of that level and calibre are even slogging it out down there is beyond me. Sure their decks are strong, but players with those cards at that levels are terrible to say the least. There is no glory in them for any win which is almost certainly expected. However, the fact that they're there means they have been losing more often than not, which speaks volumes as to their ineptness in playing the game.
The unintended side effect is that anyone with less than max levelled cards will of course find it extra hard to be trying to go up against these overpowered decks. 🤷♂ I'll just have to grit my teeth and grind on trying my best of out strategize the brute force of such decks with my mostly level 3 and below Summoners for the Silver League.
My quest for more Gold Foil Legendary cards from my rewards chests continues on ("Greed is Good!" 😈). It's a 0.008% chance, at base level, to pull a legendary gold foil, in case you were wondering 😉. Here's to more jackpot strikes in the future (i hope) 🤞🏻🍀🤞🏻🍀🤞🏻🍀.
I have not managed to get any new Nightmare packs to replace all those I've sold. I will wait patiently to get them at the price I want. 🤑

I have missed out on several weeks of Splinterlands Guild Brawl Report for PIZZA 2 The Deep Dish. 🍕⚔️🛡️
I think I shall from henceforth integrate these reports into my weekly diary posts. It will probably come in a much shortened form too as it would otherwise turn this post into a really long read. I wouldn't want everyone to snooze off halfway. 😅
I am still slightly short of the required 2k MERITS for my next Gladius Case purchase. I guess that'll have to wait till my next brawl.

My main regularly picks up the ✨🏅✨Gold Foil Chaos Legion Only Fray no.12✨🏅✨ while my alt takes up the ✨🏅✨Wild Novice League Fray no. 2✨🏅✨ every week.
Oddly, this week has seen my alt outperforming my main account by a significant margin.
PIZZA 2 Guild managed to finish in 6th place! 🏆🏆🏆
Well, I can't mince my words. This has truly been a terrible week for the guild. Only 8 frays were filled out of a total of 13, and we unfortunately had one
no-show too. 😭

On a sidenote, we've still got some unfilled frays too so...

The sale of Splinterlands first ever dual element card has gone live! This legendary card will cost 80k DEC for each BCX with a discount of up to 50% if you use up to 160 vouchers. At current prices, that would mean each card costs over $50!
Almost 4000 of these have already been sold so far, so there're about slightly less than 11k remaining. Will it sell out in the next 25 days? How many will get burnt? (if it doesn't sell out) These are early days, so it's still too soon to tell. If it holds at the current sales numbers, this would become an exceedingly rare card. However, anything can happen in the next 25 days, and it's a as good as guess for you as it is for me. 💸🚀📈
A new ruleset has been added to the game this past week!
BORN AGAIN as it is called gives every unit the REBIRTH ability. I believe that as of now, the only unit with such an ability is the super limited Runi which went on sale on the OPENSEA market. Having all units with such an ability would be interesting to say the least. I can already see that MARTYR units could become even more powerful under this scenario as they are able to "die twice" to give their allies double buffs! 💪🏻😱
Weekly Riftwatchers Sales Tracker
Well, CHAOS LEGION IS ALL SOLD OUT! So the next most logical thing to track next are the sales of Riftwatchers.
