Here's my 77th Splinterlands Guild Brawl Report for PIZZA 2 The Deep Dish. 🍕⚔️🛡️
It seems like there might be some changes in the rental system soon where there will be an implementation of a 1 DEC fee for any repricing/relisting of cards. How will that affect the rental market especially while renting for brawls remains to be seen. Till then, keep calm and brawl on. 😎
It's the ✨🏅✨Gold Foil Chaos Legion Fray no.12✨🏅✨ for the 60th week in a row for me.

Once again, the needle barely moved where it comes to the win percentage. An increase of 0.1% to be precise. It is hardly of any significance at all, especially with this number of battles I've played so far. Staying put in place isn't a bad thing though. 😉
Having bought Gladius scrolls 2 weeks in a row, I'm pretty much tapped out at the moment. I'd expect at least 1 more brawl before I gather enough MERITS to be able to afford another Gladius scroll.
🤞🏻🍀🤞🏻🍀🤞🏻🍀 Fingers crossed for a Gold Foil (Legendary!!!) I hope 🤣🤑 for my future Gladius packs. (or any packs/rewards chest for that matter 😉)
With all that said, lets FINALLY get down to a review and quick analysis of my battles 🧐⚔️🛡️, or in some cases where my opponent fled 🏃🏻💨 - non battles 😨.
As usual, I make an extra effort to rent ✨Gold Foil Chaos Legion✨ cards that align with my daily focus during Guild Brawl days.
Hopefully Lady Luck continues to shine on me 🍀🍀🍀 and I don't get too many weird ruleset combinations which will completely screw up my limited Gold Foil selection of cards. (🤣 yeah, that's how terrible I am, to have to rely on luck for my wins)
Some thoughts I have about my exploits in the Gold Frays. 💭🤔
I feel like I'm winning because my opponent has even less Gold Foil cards available to him than I do. Personally, I find it slightly flattering to me. The teams I field are definitely not the absolute strongest, but more of what is available to me.
It also doesn't account for HOW I win some of the fights though. I've realised that a fair number of them are from opponents who just gave up and did not even face me in battle. ⚔️⚔️⚔️
My choice of picking up the Gold Foil frays is to simply give the Guild a better chance at accumulating more wins, seeing especially that IN THE PAST, many Gold Frays were left empty. Even if I were to lose everything and win just 1 match, it would definitely help in securing a better finishing position overall. 🥇🥈🥉

I was slightly worried when I first submitted my team for this particular battle. With my limited resources, I could only field an Earth team using a summoner which did absolutely nothing to help my team line up. Thankfully, my opponent was in the exact same situation as I was. 🤣
THORNS won it for me as his Gladius DOUBLE STRKING trump card was completely nullified. 🎉

This turned out to be a much closer fight than I thought it would be. Once again, I initially thought I would be disadvantaged by not having the Water Summoner available for use. Fortunately, my Gold Foil selection for Fire is generally pretty solid.
That being said, I expected the worst when my units kept missing several turns in a row against the opponent's sped up team. I would say that the Disintegrator with it's DEMORALIZE ability saved the day. It pretty much minimised the melee damage dealt by the opponent and allowed me to survive all those missed attacks. Eventually, his luck ran out as my units landed their hits and destroyed his army. 🎉

The opponent FLED! 🏃🏻🏃🏻🏃🏻 Yay? I guess. A win is a win - no matter how it comes about.

I was quite confident about winning this battle. Thanks to Chimney Wallstop, the result was never much in doubt. The greatest impediment to success when using him is usually ARMOUR. And with such a ruleset removing armour completely, there would be nothing to stop his massive damage from activating his BLOODLUST.
As expected, he ran the show here and the other units I picked were there simply as sacrificial units to take a few hits. Once he landed a kill, it simply snowballed into an inevitable victory. 🎉

I don't think I could have asked for more than that. A perfect winning run is very satisfying. 🎉 Some luck is obviously needed and I'll take it whichever way it comes to get the desired results.
I feel it's important that Guilds are able to fill out all the frays - even the significantly "harder" Gold ones. It is very likely that most guilds (at our level) skip the Gold frays completely, or are unable to even field a team if they've got no Gold Foil Summoners. This therefore leads to a better overall score.

Ok. I won't lie. This was deeply disappointing. 1st place was beyond us but we were leading in 2nd place for most of the duration of the brawls. Unfortunately, we did not manage to fill up all the frays and even had a player missing their matches completely. 1 WIN was all it would have taken to secure the 2nd position and we fell short. 😡🤦♂
On a sidenote, we've still got some unfilled frays too so...
