LORE
When the Chaos Legion turned their eye on Dax, he looked right back and was intrigued. He saw new power that he hadn't yet known. He communicated with their intermediaries until the day the Chaos Legion invaded the Splinterlands. Dax was then graced with an audience before Silus of the Rift himself. During this conversation, Dax proved himself well-informed, cunning, and ambitious. He was given the opportunity to be an advisor for the most powerful person he'd ever come across. Dax now serves closely at Silus' side, advising him on strategies to control the Splinterlands.
STATS
- Dax Paragon is a mage epic monster from Life Element under Chaos Edition
- It only has 3-5 health power, while maintaining 2 speed and 1-2 magic damage at 2 mana.
- At level 2, it has the ability to amplify where it increases the damage on magic reflect, return fire and thorns by 1 to all enemy monsters.
- At level 5 it has the additional ability which is Affliction that causes the enemy to be unable to heal when hit by this monster.
- At max level, max health power is 5 while both magic and speed is only 2
- Overall, Dax Paragon can be used in low mana battles since it only costs 2 mana and can be a useful monster when the ruleset is equalizer, little league, and reverse speed.

THE RULE SET
**MANA CAP: 24
ELEMENTS: ALL ELEMENTS **
BRIAR PATCH
All monsters have the thorn ability
When hit with a Melee attack, does damage back to the attacker
Has an upper cap of 2
Summoner Mylor Crowling gives this ability to every friendly monster at the start of a battle
EQUAL OPPORTUNITY
All Monsters have the Opportunity ability.
Speed and HP is the trick here: higher speed will let you target enemy's low HP monster first, opening the way for your slower monsters to deal damage to higher HP enemy monsters. Keep lower HP monsters in front. Monsters who have two attack types should always be preferred.
FIRE AND REGRET
All monsters have the return fire ability
When hit with a Ranged attack, Monsters with Return Fire will return reduced damage back to their attacker
Damage returned is equal to damage of attacker divided by 2, rounded up.
Summoner Lir Deepswimmer gives this ability to every friendly monster at the start of a battle
⚔️ MY TEAM ⚔️
⚔️ OPPONENT'S TEAM ⚔️
⚔️ CARD POSITION ⚔️
FIRST POSITION
I positon the southbound martyr rare card so that when it dies, Void Dragon will have plus 1 to all stats. This will help Void Dragon to increase its magic damage and speed causing the enemy to miss their damage.
SECOND POSITION
In addition to Venari Marksrat, Void Dragon was included as a support tank because of its outstanding speed of 5, as well as its flying and phase abilities, which have a higher likelihood of avoiding assaults from hostile monsters. If a magic creature strikes him because of the void ability, the magic will be lessened. The Phase Power of the Void Dragon, which uses the same hit/miss formula as melee and ranged strikes, is another fantastic ability of the creature.
THIRD POSITION
One of this team's most useful cards is the time mage, which lowers the opponent's speed and armor. Now that the other team's speed has been reduced by 2, the team will undoubtedly do harm to the enemy monster..
FOURTH POSITION
The featured monster for this blog, Dax Paragon, has the amplify ability, which increases the damage dealt by one to all magic reflect, thorns, and return fire. Since the ruleset is return fire and thorns, I utilize Dax Paragon in this match.
FIFTH POSITION
Magi Chaos adds up as a support magic damage monster with a total of 3 damage. This monster will help to kill the enemy monster.
LAST POSITION
Last but not least is none other than the 0 mana legendary monster with melee damage. I just used this monster to fill the 6 slot and still can fight with my team because of the ruleset opportunity.
⚔️ BATTLE ⚔️
Venari Marksrat's demise will increase the magic, speed, and health strength of Void Dragon, making it impossible to defeat it and ensuring that it will successfully avoid an enemy monster's attack. However, because it only has 2 life and is a target of the opposition due to the opportunity ability, the 0 mana legendary card did not have the chance to survive and battle alongside my squad.

Regrettably, Dax Paragon and Time Mage were also dead causing the opponent to restore their 1 speed and not able to get additional damage due to amplify the ability of Dax Paragon. Only 2 friendly monsters left and hoping to survive till the last round.

This time, Magi of Chaos was not able to survive the damage dealt by the legendary triage monster. Only Void Dragon is left in the friendly monster and fighting with 3 magic monster. This time, the taunt monster health is only 1 but because of the triage monster, It will still be able to get healed.

This is the awaited moment of Void Dragon, the missed attacks! 3 time in a row of missed attack from the enemy monster! This is a big help since its health power will not be reduced since there is only 7 health power for him to survive since it does not have any heal ability.

The battle pits a 6 speed monster with flying, void, and phase abilities against a 1 speed monster with taunt ability. He was able to withstand the fight and secure the win because of the powers of the Void Dragon.

Did your strategy work?
Yes, my strategy was successful because I chose the right cards to play during the battle. Speed is a crucial element in this battle. Due to its phase and flying prowess, the void dragon was able to avoid the opponent's strikes. The summoner Quix is a wise choice for this game since he was able to lower the speed of the enemy monster and time mage, who also lowered the enemy's speed and armor, which caused the greatest speed enemy monster to be lowered by two speeds. Due to the remaining foes' slow speeds, Void Dragon was not hit by their attacks. The fact that Dax Paragon increases the thorn's damage by 1 and returns it by 1 is another factor. He was still able to finish and kill every hostile monster even though there was just one friendly monster left in the battle.
What will you try differently next time?
I'll use a monster with a lot of health the next time to prevent being targeted by the enemy monster's opportunity ability. Additionally, a monster with a heal ability will be utilized so that the tank monster will still have a chance to recover from the damage that the opposing team's team has inflicted on it.

That's all for now. Thank you for reading :)
