Hello, this post is an entry to the Redfish 100 tour weekly challenge.
And this week's prompt was: let's pretend that the entire theTerminal crew would be visiting me for a day. Where would I take them and why?
I have always longed for an opportunity when I would meet all the members of theTerminal in person.
It all came to reality when I received a call via Skype by the Director of the crew to prepare myself for a tour for the rest of the members flying into my country home to visit.
Excitement will fill my heart as I pounder on the appropriate place to take my guests arriving the country from all walks of life.
As a native of Umuduruodu, Okwelle, Onuimo LGA, Imo State, Nigeria, West Africa, first thing is to do is to accompany them all down to the local resort reserved for them prior to their arrival very close to my home town for refreshments.
Thereafter, the fun begins. I'll introduce them to the life of the Eastern people of my country.
Fortunately there's a stream that has been in existence since the era of my fire fathers which serves as a comfortable viewing centre.
The stream according to folk tales and real life stories has never gone dry and has always received the patronage of the people of my home community.
The way leading to the stream is a steep and hilly foot path alley.
First timers usually get scared during their first encounter with the steep hill but with time and regular visits the hill becomes friendlier and more adventurous as they develop new skills of climbing it.
I'll also show them the two outlets where fresh drinkable water flows regularly through the rock.
There are harmless fishes that flows through in the stream.
A part of the stream is shallow so members can choose to help themselves inside after which we all sit to enjoy the contents of the picnic basket I will bring along the journey.
Later on, if time permits, I'll take them to visit the traditional ruler of my community after which we all retire to the resort.
My choice for these places is embedded in the facts that I see the need to show the crew my origin, culture, people and native food.
Furthermore, to enlighten them on the beautiful tourist center situated in my village though it's not open to the general public and to make them also pounder like the rest of us in the village where the fresh water's original source comes from.
Above all, I would be joyful to know that after touring with the crew of theTerminal they all went back safely to their various destinations happy, looking forward to another your from me when another opportunity comes.
