En mi comunidad tenemos la dicha de disfrutar durante todo el año de la floración de los árboles; desde nuestro amarillísimo Araguaney, árbol nacional de Venezuela, pasando por el exótico Bucare rojo hasta la Acacia flamboyant, uno de los árboles más coloridos del mundo. Sin embargo, en una avenida, está plantado un hermosísimo Apamate rosado (Tabebuia rosea) que nos roba el corazón de abril a julio, es un espectáculo, un lienzo sublime que nos regala la naturaleza, que se ha convertido en atractivo de propios y visitantes, de grandes y chicos, ¿quién puede ignorarlo?

In my community we have the joy of enjoying the flowering of trees throughout the year; from our very yellow Araguaney, Venezuela's national tree, to the exotic red Bucare to the Acacia flamboyant, one of the most colorful trees in the world. Tras retirarnos del “Apamate de la familia” seguimos la marcha, ¡Todos ya conformes de como lucían en las fotos!, Sin embargo, uno de los miembros más pequeños del equipo divisó a la distancia otra variedad de esta planta también en floración: “Allá hay uno blanco” fue su expresión. Y si, en Venezuela tenemos la dicha de contar con Apamates rosados, blancos y morados.

Every walk requires an itinerary and of course we had one, the goal was to walk and reach other trees of the same species, previously observed, all located on public roads. After leaving the “Apamate de la familia” we continued our walk, all of us already satisfied with the way they looked in the photos, however, one of the youngest members of the team spotted in the distance another variety of this plant also in bloom: “There is a white one” was his expression. And yes, in Venezuela we are fortunate to have pink, white and purple Apamates.

Of course we did, we deviated from the previously established route, let's go see that white Apamate, we all said enthusiastically, because there is nothing more contagious than the happiness and adventurous spirit of a child. This decision led us to a very beautiful street not only because it has several trees of this species, but also because it is clean, has other ornamental plants and the neighbors very kindly gave us recommendations on how to get the best view.
Todo lo que no tiene precio vale mucho
Caminamos, reímos, compartimos chistes, disfrutamos muchísimo ver tan cerca los Apamates florecidos, vimos la puesta del sol. Me atrevo a ser la voz del equipo y a decir que la pasamos chévere ¿y cómo no? Donde hay respeto, compañerismo, empatía, cooperativismo, cuidados, aprendizajes y nuevas experiencias para la vida... Todo va bien.
