Que bonita es playa La Rosa, está ubicada en Puerto Cabello estado Carabobo, centro de Venezuela, forma parte de una base naval por lo que su acceso es privado, tiene un costo que oscila entre 5 y 10 USD, los niños a partir de 5 años pagan también. El paisaje es hermoso; el el horizonte se deja ver hasta allá a lo lejos, donde se funde frente a nuestros ojos el azul del cielo y el Mar Caribe. Las palmeras gigantes nos brindan su fresca sombra, sin embargo acá también ofrecen servicios de sombrillas y sillas a orilla de playa, también hay restaurantes. Les recomiendo llevar agua potable y tengan precaución con el uso de los sanitarios, en el momento que asistí no estaban limpios.

He venido infinidades de veces con ella a este lugar desde que yo tenía un poco menos de 20 años, dejamos de vernos y de salir juntas por casi dos décadas; cada una andaba en lo suyo pero conservando el afecto.
Siempre que vamos a una playa ella me dice: “En Madeira ni creas que pudiéramos meternos al agua”, para ella sigue siendo extraordinario que en Venezuela tengamos temperaturas de 29 a 30 grados centígrados todo el año. Con risas me cuenta que en su natal Madeira, Portugal, hace mucho frío, que ya no tolera, está aclimatada en Venezuela y de aquí nunca se va a ir, dice.

Pan con cambur
En mis primeros viajes con la señora Rita y sus hijos, mis amigos también y antiguos compñeros de la universidad, a la playa me enteré que algunos portugueses, entre los que están ellos, les gusta comer pan con cambur, no es broma, esto es la mejor merienda de playa para ellos, así como para los venezolanos es pan con Cheez Whiz (queso fundido), tambien suelen llevar piña picada en trocitos.

Fado, vino, bacalao a las brasas y otras tantas maravillas he compartido con la señorita Rita, incluso a valorar nuestras playas, por ejemplo a mi parecer La Rosa tiene aguas frías y un oleaje alto, pero ella dice que no, así hay que creerle porque ella conoce más mares que yo. Cuando habla de su país no deja de mencionar que llegó acá huyendo de la guerra y sus terribles consecuencias, acá en varias ocasiones ha tenido que ser resiliente y eso admiro de ella; su coraje y capacidad de adaptación.
Saudade
Saudade es una de las palabras más hermosas del idioma portugues, pudieramos traducirla como extrañar con noltalgia, así que si tienen amigos portugueses y desean pasar un rato agradable diganle tenho saudade de vocé, te hecho de menos, y les aseguro que algo bueno sale, como por ejemplo comer pan con cambur a orila de la playa.
