Here is my entry for the TOUR CHALLENGE by @theterminal. This is the main challenge for week #2.
If the entire the terminal want to visit yiu at your place, where will you take us and why?
I will take the terminals to RUBBER RESEARCH INSTITUTE OF NIGERIA. Some people feel i should take them to a relaxation center or somewhere fun but i choose the place because i want the terminal crew to learn about rubber this time.
Rubber Research Institute of Nigeria with the acronym RRIN is situated at Benin in Nigeria. In RRIN, various activities as been put in place to make sure the best result is gotten.
There is a large area of land covered by rubber plants at that site.
There are agronomists at the laboratory who tests the soil on which the plant is planted(the location, date and time must be properly recorded), examine the rubber plant that can be used to breed more, and carryout research on rubber plants and its productivity.
A plate is tied around the rubber tree. An object called tapper is used to scrape the bark of the rubber tree. A white liquid object begins to drop in the plate slowly, it is called FLUX.
The flux is then poured together and the dirt being removed.

The flux is then processed into solid rubber which is ready to be used to build other rubber products.

The processed rubber is then used to make different rubber products such as tyre

I went to RRIN in the year 2018 and I took some pictures. Let me share some
The man standing next to the tree is scrapping the rubber tree to get the flux.
The man wearing the white laboratory coat in the laboratory is explaining how rubber plants are tested. He further explained on the type of soil to use for planting and how it should be tested before rubber plant is planted on it.
The man in the last image is explaining the functions of each tank and also how the water used in that industry can be recycled so that it can be used again and to avoid wastage.
I got all those information when I went there in 2018 and not a second hand information. I saw everything that was there and even touched some.
